I have been eating here for years and the food is always great. Steak salad just rocks. I recently hosted a party in the private room and everything was perfect -- Kelly and her team (Dionna & Jose) went above and beyond. Highly highly recommend for an elegant, yet approachable meal.

Dropped by without a reservation on a Saturday, walked into a peaceful atmosphere and was seated right away. Personable and punctual service. Ordered the NY strip, lobster tail, and 2 sides - everything was prepared exactly as ordered, drinks included. Perfect dining experience.

Visited tonight with my Mom while in town for our first Chicago trip. Dionna was such a great server - gave us fabulous recommendations for cocktails and dinner items. She gave us space but was attentive and available when we were ready for the next course. The 12 oz filet was cooked perfectly and the whole atmosphere was sophisticated, relaxing and enjoyable. We had a side of the mac and cheese (creamy and delicious) and brussel spouts that were perfectly prepared. I had a seasonal cranberry cocktail and my mom had a dirty martini. We had red wine with dinner. Everything was fantastic! Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

We booked our daughters 30th birthday party here! I worked closely with the manager, and she was so gracious and attentive. They allowed me to decorate some tables the night before and even came up with a Signature Drink for the special evening. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Sometimes when you have a large group the food does not come out quite right, but Chophouse was on point for every meal! Our daughter went back a week after the party and all the staff still remembered her and treated her like family. Do NOT hesitate to eat here. Food, service, atmosphere was EXCELLENT!!!

The Grillroom Chophouse & Wine Bar is a straight-up gem if you're looking for a legit steakhouse in the Loop. I went with the 8 oz filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection – super tender and full of flavor. We also ordered the lobster bisque and some garlic mashed potatoes, and both were spot-on. The bisque was creamy and had a great depth of flavor, and those potatoes? So smooth. The total came to about $65 for my meal, which is a little steep but totally worth it for the quality. The place has a sleek, modern vibe and the service was top-notch – definitely a great spot for a special night out!

Overall experience was good. I ate at bar. I ordered steak, shrimp, lobster tail, and garlic green beans. Everything besides the steak was seasoned to perfection for me. Honestly, above perfection. The steak was bland to me. I had to do too much to season it. Had to add both sauces, butter from lobster and shrimp, squeezed garlic from bulb and spread it on, finally had to get tobasco sauce. Didn't make it great but doable. Service pretty good. Young lady was the best. Poor thing, I'm not sure if she was training the guy or if he just didn't want to work. She had to keep directing and correcting him. She asked him to get me water. he got me water without ice. (He did give others ice water) I asked if I could have ice water. She asked him to give me ice water. The guy got a cup of ice and sat it next to my water cup. She poured water into ice cup. I watched him do the bare minimum the entire time I was there. Everything task she gave him, she had to come behind him to correct even using cork screw. I really felt bad for her.
