Customer Review Summary
Grace and Jack, the servers, received high praise for their service. The atmosphere is described as beautiful, with great views of downtown or Michigan Ave. The food quality was consistently noted as top-tier, particularly the smoked carrots, sushi, burger, and desserts like key lime pie. Many reviews mentioned the cornbread as a must-try. Reservations can be an issue, as some guests reported being seated away from their requested window tables despite prior notice. Overall, The Evie is recommended for both casual and special occasions, with several reviewers expressing a desire to return. The restaurant has a delightful blend of American fare and sushi, making it suitable for various tastes. Grace was our server and she was phenomenal. It was our 1st time here and she gave great options from appetizer to dessert! Atmosphere was bomb, we got window view of downtown and the food was top tier. I'll have to add The Evie to NY favorites new restaurants. Will definitely be bringing my hubby here!

Atmosphere and food were great. I really enjoyed the bread and the smoked carrots appetizer. The restaurant is overlooking Michigan ave and is beautifully designed. The reason for 4 stars is we made reservations two weeks in advance and sent them a message on Instagram that we were hoping for a window table. When we got there the hostess lead us to a booth, and when we asked to be seated at one of the three empty tables on the window she said “we have other reservations and those tables would have a time limit”. We paid attention to those tables and no one was seated at two of them for our whole stay, and some window tables exchanged patrons.

My entire experience was nice that I went twice in a weekend. Hosts were nice. Tried two sushi rolls; dragon and hamachi. Both good. Fries great. The burger was so well cooked fresh veggies, yum. &&the sauce. Try the cornbread 👀 🤌🏾 the smoked carrots were bussinnnnn. They’re vegan if you care. Loved that there was a little garlic lemony puree pillow that the carrots laid on top of. And seeds. Looked like maybe pumpkin/ or butternut squash seeds. Just amazing. For desert we had key lime pie which was good and million dollar ice cream. Both great choices. My server was Jack both times. Very nice guy. He recommended what to eat and I enjoyed everything I ate. Thanks Jack!!! Ask for him if you just want a pleasant great time. Visiting Chicago again sometime this year, and I’ll be dropping by for sure.

Came here with my work for a crew dinner. This place was bomb and tasty. Everything we tried hit the spot. The lobster roll was a delight and you can never go wrong with good sushi. They had really good drinks and they knew how to take care of a large party. I would definitely come back to this place.

Amazing service. The drinks were great and came out nice and fast. The chicago hotdog was great and the muscles and clams were delicious but the burger seemed to fall apart too easily. Great location. The apple cider drink was a little too sweet but the Michigan martini was very interesting.

I had the best dinner here! So happy I gave their restaurant week menu a chance. Everything was so tasty and Jack, our server, was very kind and made sure our experience was a 10/10! Can’t wait to come back and try their lunch menu

I had the executive lunch (one salad or sandwich plus dessert) for $30. The place made me feel like a million dollars. Loved the art, supporting local artists in this very sophisticated decor. Anyway, about the food, I had read their sushi was great, so I went for a Poke Bowl. I swear, when they brought it, it was so big, I was almost a bit discouraged/disappointed. Started to tell myself, well I honestly can't eat all of this, so what am I gonna leave behind? The answer, turned out to be absolutely nothing. Not a grain of rice. That rice was so light, just the right amount of rice vinegar to elevate the whole bowl and of course there was a very generous portion of tuna, mouth melting, brain melting tuna. Wow, what a treat. And then, I still had dessert ahead of me! But that key lime pie was again perfectly balanced in terms of zestyness vs sweet. And with that an Americano, which in this snowy day, just completed the experience. Loved it. I can't believe I only paid $30 for that amazing experience. WOW.

Named after the owners daughter The Evie is a delight that I have been waiting on to arrive. I did not think another place could come along and replace Banderas properly. However, The Evie has settled nicely into its place. Still a nice place to have a wonderful view and a drink or dine with friends like I did that day I went. Pure American fair. Burgers, Steak, mash potatoes and smokey carrots (which are AWESOME), this place has a little of something for everyone. Even Fresh Sushi. OHHH and the cornbread!!! While it was not Banderas quality of cornbread it holds a special memory all its own and very much worth the 2 portions we had at the table. Certainly, a place worth the recommendation. My only complaint but not really a complaint is that they have a $19 Wagyu Hot Dog on the menu. I will tell you now in the City of Vienna Beef and Best Kosher with both plants in Chicago, I would not spend ANYONE’S money on a $19 Hot Dog. I don’t care if it had gold leaf in it. I just wouldn’t do it. I did not order the dog and I would suggest you ever do. I did have a magnificently prepared Filet Mignon Steak Medium. It comes with whipped Potatoes. I enjoyed my signature cocktail x2 , which was a French Martini and I also had some of my buddy’s smoked carrots. Did not know carrots could taste that good. MMMMM! So, I say get on over there and enjoy. It is worth the trip and a welcomed addition to the Magnificent Mile. Don't forget to follow me
