Nice place to eat with a great atmosphere. I had the Cajun Filet, and it was fantastic—cooked perfectly with excellent seasoning. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts were delicious as well, a great complement to the meal. The skillet cookie, however, was a disappointment. It ended up being a cold cookie with ice cream on top—not what I expected. Drinks were solid, and the waitress was wonderful, providing excellent service throughout. Overall, a great dining experience aside from the dessert. Would definitely come back!

Outstanding steakhouse! Food is delicious and service is great too. We sat right at the window along the river, so got a beautiful view as well. I’ve always wanted to try a tomahawk steak so two of us split one and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. And it was so big, all 4 of us could have split it. It came with roasted potatoes which aren’t usually my favorite but even those were delicious. No complaints about anything. Definitely a great spot for a special occasion!

Staying in Downtown has its own perks, you can walk to such amazing restaurants. I like to try local Steakhouse and this place was top notch. Special thanks to our server Steve L, who took care of us really well. Suggested perfect preparation for Rib-Eye and it was just perfect. The ambiance is amazing and everyone is welcoming. Reservations are highly recommended.

Smith & Wollensky in Chicago is easily one of my top three steakhouses in the city. The experience was fantastic from start to finish, with outstanding service that made the evening truly memorable. The food was simply delicious, and if you’re a fan of octopus like I am, the octopus cocktail is a must-try. It was perfectly prepared and so flavorful—I’d happily order a larger portion of it again and again. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving a great steakhouse meal, Smith & Wollensky delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

First time visiting here, will be my last time. The food here did nothing for me and as a party of one, I feel like I flushed $127.12 down the drain. My bread came to the table cold, my steak was TOTALLY unseasoned and my meal only came with 4, yes, 4 pieces of asparagus. The coconut dessert was just not doing the job and I couldn’t get past 1 bite. The customer service was stellar but the food didn’t impress. I’m sure this place is an institution for some, just not for me. Enjoy!

Great experience at this steak house. Have been to it almost once a year for the past 5 years for a work convention. Never disappoints. Amazing steak carpaccio. My bone in ribeye steak was perfectly cooked. The sides were all delicious as well. The desserts were amazing, we were all stuffed but was still able to make room for dessert. The waitstaff is quick and attentive. Everything about this steak house is great. Would highly recommend.

Went to Chicago marathon last weekend and came across this restaurant near my hotel by chance. What a great find. I ended up going there twice during my 4 days stay in Chicago. The food is scrumptious. My NY strip steaks were cooked perfectly. I saw other patrons’ Tomahawk, it looks unbelievable. I would order that if I had my dog with me. Service was impeccable. The servers I had for both nights (Laura and Michelle) were hospitable and attentive. One of the managers Trent, he checks up on patrons (myself included) and is professional. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in town.

Went here for an early dinner on our way out of Chicago. Did the valet parking because it made it easy. The host sat us outside as we requested. The view was amazing, right l. The water. The service was good. Our server was very nice. There were other servers/bidders around and they would take our plates as we ate. The atmosphere/view was amazing. The food was delicious. I didn’t take a picture of my meal (I forgot). Unit was really good. I did take a picture of the dessert(which was huge) and the To-go food. Overall it was a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.
