Customer Review Summary
Mixed reviews for Sam Snead's Savannah highlight inconsistencies in food quality and service. Some diners praised the atmosphere and the well-prepared food, particularly the steak and various entrees, while others found items like the fish and chips and shrimp to be subpar and overpriced. Service received a mix of attention, with some guests encountering rude staff and issues like missing silverware, while others reported positive interactions. Overall, there seems to be a divide between those who appreciated the dining experience and those who felt let down by food quality and service. I was excited to try this spot, as it is right off the highway while passing Savannah. However, I was disappointed. The atmosphere seems nice when you initially walk in, but it is on the “old” side. When I looked at the menu I thought the prices were rather high, but that at those prices the food should be good, right? Nope. I ordered the fish and chips, and while it was eatable, it tasted very rubbery and like it had been previously frozen. Fish and chips is pretty simple when you’re near the coast, and this was a sad example. The fries also tasted aged. In addition, the waiter had an attitude when we first arrived, and after he brought us our food, he forgot to bring us all silverware. So we sat there with our food and no way to eat it. On top of that, when we asked a passing by waitress for silverware, she also responded rudely. She brought us silverware, we said thank you, and she did not respond or say a word. She set it down, turned around, and walked away. I also heard her complaining to another employee when she was walking by shortly after that. All that to say, if you’re an older and enjoy an old style decorated American cuisine restaurant, and don’t care about your food being reheated, then this place is for you. As for me, I won’t be returning. I prefer my fish and chips to be fresh, and my wait staff to be polite. At the same time, it was not the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Really good steak. Food was good and it’s a really cool place. Had to ask for silverware twice. First when they brought the soup and salads and then again when they brought our dinners. The menu is extensive and the place was packed. Great ambiance and I would definitely go back again.

One of the best places in the area that I have visited. The food was well prepared without being over seasoned or overly sauced. The servers were very attentive and answered every question we had. The place has a great balance of natural and artificial lighting. The music was a perfect volume to allow conversation and background noise.

I give this restaurant five stars. The atmosphere brought me back to my childhood going out to eat with my grandfather. The service was impeccable. Top-tier. Did not disappoint. Way to go Sam Snead's!

This is my first time eating here and it might be my last. A coworker mentioned this place for lunch so I said, why not? $15 for the Slammin Shrimp and there is barely any shrimp in the box....$15 for 13 pieces and they are SO SMALL! I don't know if I'll be ordering here again, doesn't seem like it's worth the price. The sauce tastes like mayonnaise and barely tastes like " sweet chilli" at all. Not a very good first impression in my opinion. At least the shrimp is cooked perfectly.

Fish and tartar sauce was the best part of dinner. The ribeye was tough and thin. Had better steak at Golden Corral. Sent the steak back at the end of dinner with a bad review and still got charged for it. For the money, it was a 50 dollar meal. The mashed potatoes were as cold as the green beans, and they are a hot side. We sat at the bar, so it wasn't rushed but still failed. The 100 dollars in bourbon was great. On the way out, I informed the hostesses and was dismissed. I will not be back as there are multiple places to eat for better quality. Hope the best and order the fish and chips.

Awesome upscale dining experience! This is an excellent executive level lunch spot. The staff is very friendly and the dining room is very spacious and accommodating. I ordered the balsamic chicken flat bread and a side order of sweet potatofries. Delicious!

My first time trying this place was very positive. We were sat immediately without wait (Monday evening). We ordered fish and chips, Sam's burger, and chicken tenders. My wife's new favorite burger. The fish they gave my mother in law was enormous and she loved it. The chicken tenders remind me of spanky's. The fries sucked though, very bland and soggy. We also got desserts. Apple pie with ice cream, raspberry cheesecake, and some kinda berry cake thing. All of it was fantastic! Service was fast and friendly. The server was helpful and tended to us well. The inside of the restaurant was clean with a great atmosphere. Everything was pretty expensive of course. All in all, we will eat here again. Season your fries though damn lol.
