Super cute tavern! Seems like a small little place initially, but opens up into a larger space in the back. The servers are lovely and the vibe is so nice - also kid friendly which is a bonus! The food was ok - a little bland for our tastes but still great! The jalapeño poppers were great and so was their boar head burger and bread pudding was incredible!

An old pub atmosphere located at the Savannah River in the historic district. The black-eyed pea soup and the swordfish with gnocchi was excellent. Kevin, our server, is proud of the food that is made here, and he is well-versed in the menu and specials.

Very cute and qaint little eatery. It's tucked around a corner and super cozy! The menu had a great selection, great flavor combinations, and very diverse. The waitress was beyond courteous, polite and just had a great welcoming appearance about her. The prime rib steak was perfect! I was a little disappointed that I did only get four asparagus spears....I could have (and would have) eaten way more! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Our first dining experience here and it didn't disappoint. Actually this was our first visit to Savannah for a long weekend from closeby SC. Located at the corner of River St and the Lincoln St Ramp, it is housed in an historic building. Looking to the ceiling one has to wonder of all the history that has passed through this and the building along the entire street. But I digress. Upon entering we were gracefully greeted and guided to our table passing a bar on the right which was full of patrons. It seemed that they can also accommodate larger parties as we saw a group in a room off to the side. I suggest reservations as we did. You can see the Savannah River through the windows. While we were there a container vessel passed on its way to far off ports. The kitchen pass is in view and one can hear and see the well oiled team creating culinary works of art. Our server was wonderful as was the staff that delivered our dinner selections to our table. She welcomed us and was very attentive throughout. We ordered a few drinks to celebrate the evening to start off. Our dining experience consisted of the She Crab Soup and Mixed Greens Salad to start. This was followed by the Fried Shrimp and Breast of Chicken Picatta with Angel Hair. Presentation was superb. Dessert was very different yet very delightful. We ordered the Savannah Trifle. The coffee with dessert was fresh and a perfect combination. It was a very delightful experience. We shall be back during our next visit the Savannah.

Came here for dinner and a couple of beers. Ordered the Stuffed Shrimp and had a couple of Guinness beers. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great and service was great! Would definitely come back. I sat at the bar.

I had an amazing dining experience at Boar's Head in Savannah this past Sunday, March 2nd, and I have to give a shout-out to our server, Madame Chris!!. He was so poised and sophisticated, (not to mention fashionable with the glasses), and really added a special touch to the whole experience. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, professional, and made sure we were well taken care of. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and gave some great recommendations without being overbearing. He kept everything flowing smoothly, always making sure our drinks were filled and our food was perfect. His attention to detail and calm, collected vibe made everything feel so much more enjoyable. You could tell he took pride in his work, and that made the meal feel even more special. Overall, the food was great, but Christopher’s service took it to the next level. If you’re at Boar's Head, definitely ask for him—he’s the kind of server that makes dining out a real experience.

Fish & Chips were unusual. The fish was in a rectangular block with heavy batter & less cod fish. The tartare sauce was actually more like Roulade sauce. The cole slaw weirdly contained mustard & catsup blended with the mayonnaise. I prefer the traditional fish shaped fish, mayo- based tartar & cole slaw. The highlight of meal was the French Fries.
