My boyfriend brought me here for our valentines dinner. We wanted to come to the Teak for a long time so we were very excited. We left very dissatisfied sadly. The food was great but a little cold. The crab cakes in particular were delicious. The service, however, was horrible. We chose to sit outside and I think that’s where the issue was. We were forgotten by our server. Once we ordered our food we never saw him again. My boyfriend ordered a drink from the bar that never came. We waited 20 min after we were done eating and went inside to the host stand to pay. We told them we’ve been waiting and would like to pay. They couldn’t help us so they had to get our waiter to check us out and when they looked up what waiter it was one of them said “of course it was Jeffrey”. Very unprofessional. Then our waiter came over “I was just about to get to you guys!” Yeah right… he then had us walk into the dining room and showed us a big party he was dealing with and said that they were understaffed. This was just unprofessional to show us the party that took priority over us and how would that make us feel any better? I’ve worked in this industry and frankly I don’t care what excuse he had. We paid over $100 and the restaurant has a MANDATORY 20% gratuity. Teak, if you want to act like you aren’t a tourist trap but an elevated restaurant then the service should reflect that. It’s not our fault you guys were understaffed.

Teak was a lovely stop after a day at the pier - beautiful view and lots of seating on a Wednesday evening. We mostly ordered seafood dishes to stay on theme which were wonderful except for the calamari, which was tossed in a delicious sauce but the squid itself was small and dry. Desserts were great but portions varied too much. The bread pudding could feed 3-4 people alone while the chocolate peanut butter bombe gives you 3-4 spoonfuls. Great service from Alysia, who always checked in on our table and gave us solid recommendations.

Geoffrey, the server, is undoubtedly the best in the restaurant. His exceptional care and service, coupled with his charismatic personality and genuine warmth, make him a truly remarkable experience. Now, let's talk about the food (Valentines Menu). Considering the price, I had high expectations, but it fell short of my wildest dreams. The strawberry dessert was the standout dish of the night, but the steak and lobster were just good. The pomme frites for the steak were stale, and the lobster was a bit tough. The sourdough appetizer we ordered arrived with stale sourdough bread, but the toppings were good. The crab cakes, however, were the best appetizer we had. Overall, the food was good, (3 star rating per OpenTable's rating scale), but it didn't quite live up to the price point, especially considering it was a Valentine's Day reservation. I'm not disappointed with the food, but it didn't meet my expectations for the price. Geoffrey was an exceptional server, and despite the fact that the food during my visit was not particularly impressive, I would definitely return to dine with Geoffrey and explore the regular menu offered by the restaurant because the reviews for that menu seem to be great. 👍🏻

Always seen this restaurant when visiting the pier, and finally had the perfect opportunity to visit. For my anniversary with my girlfriend we booked a reservation and the experience was great. They wished us a happy anniversary and immediately sat us down, the food came out fast and was absolutely mouth wateringly delicious, getting to enjoy our delicious corkscrew pasta and garlic fries while overlooking the sunset and lights of downtown st pete was so perfect. They even gave us a happy anniversary icecream! Great view, great food, great service. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting, or any local. Thank you

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were impressed with the stunning views and reasonable prices. The food was very good—we tried the Eggs Benedict and Banana French Toast, both of which were great. Our server, Daniel, was fantastic and made sure we had a great experience. However, our interaction with the host left a lot to be desired. When we asked her for the check, as we couldn’t see our waiter, she responded in a very rude manner. Instead of kindly explaining that she wasn’t the waiter and would send someone to assist us, she became visibly upset and told us to find our server ourselves. A little more patience and a friendlier tone would have gone a long way in making us feel more welcome. Despite this, we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere, but I hope the management can address the attitude of the host to improve the overall experience.

We had a great time at Teak. Food was good, survive was quick and ambiance was amazing. The place provided a diverse experience. I recommend having a reservation in advance and it’s defiantly is busy. The view and experience is worth it. 20% gratuity is already added with every bill.
