About Frankie's Italian ChopHouse - steak house in St. Petersburg, Florida
Customer Review Summary
Frankie's Italian ChopHouse offers a delightful dining experience with delicious food and great service. The grilled oysters and colossal shrimp scampi received high praise, along with the veal chop. Some dishes, like the brussel sprouts and mozzarella salad, were noted as underwhelming and overpriced. The F1 Wagyu steaks are recommended as exceptional, while the seafood is also deemed premium. The atmosphere is cozy with a dimly lit Italian vibe, making it perfect for special occasions. However, many reviewers mentioned that the food is pricey and often served a la carte with additional costs for sides and bread. Service is generally described as attentive and friendly, though some guests experienced issues with transparency regarding extra charges. Overall, diners appreciate the quality of the food and the restaurant's ambiance, although pricing and serving practices may deter some from returning.

Experienced Frankie’s Italian Chop house on Valentine’s Day! The entire experience was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We started off with the grilled oysters and they were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! I had the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were a colossal! It was a great portion of food. My boyfriend got the veal chop which included pasta, it was delicious as well. Our server was very friendly and made our experience a great time. Overall, the ambience, food, and service was a 10.

Melissa was an amazing server. Bread, steak, crab cakes and Mac n cheese were delicious. Brussel sprouts were not cooked enough and mozzarella cheese and chopped salad tasted just okay so therefore seemed overpriced. Overall I was extremely satisfied with service, quality and environment.

Amazing atmosphere, menu and staff. Definitely try the F1 Wagyu steaks, they literally melt in your mouth and are arguably the best steaks I’ve ever had! Seafood was premium as well!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I Enjoyed the food they had great customer service and the atmosphere was dim lit and italian. I went on a Monday at 7PM there was not many people and I will come back. The meatball & Marinera pasta was great! The bread service had fabulous garlic dipping sauce. Calamari was good! will update review on second visit. remember be consistent, serve food in a timely

GREAT FOOD!! Place is nice inside, but not as nice as the pricing would suggest. Bread was wonderful, but not included, it's like 7 bucks and not refillable, unless you pay another 7 bucks. Everything is a la Carte, no sides with expensive entree. Lamb Chops were great, but 10 bucks per chop with no side is a bit outrageous. Giant wine and liquor selection, although was a bit surprised when my wife asked for a non alcoholic mocktail, was told that they won't do that?! Chilean sea bass was great, but 65 bucks for just the piece of fish is a bit overpriced I feel. Sides are 12 dollars and up. Would probably not go here again simply because the price for quantity doesn't match.

Only need 1 word here, delicious. We ordered the Bread and Octopus for appetizers. Bread was plentiful and was served with a delicious dipping sauce. The Octopus was the most tender I have ever eaten. The Veal parmesan was cooked perfectly. The Elk Chops were the best. Chops were thick enough and so tender (get them medium). I can't say enough good things about this establishment. J.D. was our server and provided excellent service. We did eat early (5:30pm) so the restaurant was not busy yet. Pricey but oh so delicious.

Service rule number one. Explain and clarify. If you offer a guest something and it costs extra please tell the guest so it’s not a surprise. I am glad your blue cheese olives are hand stuffed but after the fact for $7 on the bill just rubbed me the wrong way.

We had an incredible experience at Frankie's. Complimentary valet #1. Then we were greeted warmly by the hostess & for a Friday night, there was no wait for 3 people. There was live music & he was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our server Joe was great, explained everything & was so attentive! Everything we had was delicious, including the espresso & tiramisu martini. I highly recommend coming here.
