Outback Steakhouse

We don’t eat at a lot of chains because the quality of the food and the general experience are pretty weak usually… but we saw an ad in a flyer and got a craving for a bloomin onion… so off we went. When we arrived, we saw that there was outdoor seating… the view was of the parking lot but it was warm out so it seemed preferable to a typical over-ACed dining room… we were right. We had about a 10 minute wait - which was fine - and we got cold sitting inside during that time. Then the host told us to go to the outside and find the table with 2 menus on it (a little odd?). Our waitress seemed very nice at first - a pleasant surprise given some recent experiences - and helpful explaining things about the menu, entering our free bloomin onion for joining the rewards program… but that’s where the service ended. My cocktail came out first and it was like drinking blue koolaid. Not the server’s fault, but just another issue. When the server brought my wife’s soup - 15 minutes after we’d been seated - she asked if we wanted bread. We said that we did, but it never arrived. Approx 30 minutes later we had to ask where the bloomin onion was when we caught the server…. She blamed it on a backed up kitchen, but it seemed clear to us she forgot… it was a pattern. When the bloomin onion finally came, our server offered plates and said she’d be right back… once again, plates never came. Finally, our entrees were actually pretty good… but they were bit medium rare as ordered. Definitely closer to medium - and they even have pictures to show what their definitions are, so it’s not a subjective kind of thing. Also, the bread never came so we started catching any other server we could (since ours rarely showed up again)… we saw people just seated getting bread… multiple times. We had to ask about that and wondered if one was for us… It was all just a fiasco. We were looking up air fryer bloomin’ onion recipes - we probably won’t be back.

Have eaten there since it opened. Went Saturday for dinner. They added $1.50 per Manhattan for Jim Beam. That was a first. Now cost $9.50 per drink. Also the glass was half full instead of full. Paid more got less. Other local place cost $4.57. Both got Fillet Steak which were poor quality. Now we know why hardly anyone was there. Palm Coast has two or three other places to get a much better steak and not get ripped off on drinks.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review. Tonight passing the town, I ordered a steak medium rare. Came out like leather. I never send food back, ever. I couldn’t cut the steak. It took at least 30 minutes for the new steak. Husband already finished his food & table was cleared before mine came back out. I have NEVER in my life expected a meal to be discounted….ever. Not even a 10% discount . Shame on Outback. I will never go back & I gave them a lot of grace

What wonderful leadership at Outback as they partnered with the Kiwanis Holiday Tournament at Matanzas HS to feed all the volunteers. The quality and amount of food provided far exceeded our expectations. And everyone was thrilled with the surprise. Apparently they have several fund raising programs too that are available if we set a meeting with them. All the management was fantastic. Thank you again.!! (So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. – Galatians)

I had a long day at work and I wanted a to go order. Jeff helped me; and he was outstanding. Maleah and Mia were also rock stars. The food was cooked to perfection. I recommend this location because of the staff and the food.

Any time we've gone it's been nothing but great experiences. Wait staff is always awesome and attentive, steaks are on point as far as temps goes, and everyone always leaves happy. We went on Christmas eve and was sat down fast, our waitress was amazing and food was good as always. We've been to the other steakhouses in town and it never compares to Outback's.
