Customer Review Summary
El Novillo Restaurant receives high praise for its amazing service and flavorful Nicaraguan food. Diners recommend the gallo pinto, carne asada, and especially the churrasco, often noted as the best they've ever had. The portions are described as large and satisfying, making it great for groups or date nights. Guests enjoy the lively atmosphere, with live music and a pleasant interior. While most reviews are very positive, a few concerns include higher pricing and the lack of traditional red chile sauce. Flavorful Nicaraguan food. Good service. Churrasco, red beans and rice, fried plantains. Very good portions. Excellent garlic toasts.

Had a work lunch with a few coworkers here. First time visiting but well worth coming to if you enjoy Nicaraguan food. It was delicious. Everything was smooth and enjoyable.

Look. You have to go there. The portions are insane. Tonight I ordered a SMALL sampler, but you can actually feed a small army with this one dish. Also the service is great, the guys are nice and friendly.

Pros: Great place for date night. Live music, beautiful interior atmosphere, and if you haven't yet tried it, they have Toña beer, which is native to Nicaragua. The food was great. Carne asada was cooked perfectly. Portions are large, and the quality of the food is of the highest. Cons: I still think it's a little out of range when it comes to pricing. Also, for the nica food lovers, they dont have the red chile sauce we're used to seeing at the fritangas. Instead, they have sauce that is almost like ketchup. Overall, it's a great place if you haven't been there. Definitely authentic Nicaraguan cuisine. I do recommend this it. Also, this place is way better than the other Novillo on Bird Road.

This last time visiting we went the day before Mother’s Day and the restaurant was literally packed, but Im glad we had reservations therefore we didn’t have to wait that long to get a table. I asked the host and the waiting time was over 40 minutes for those without reservations so if you plan to visit I recommend you making one. They had a live singer playing nice oldies songs which was nice. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the service was on point, they were always checking on us to refill our waters and make sure we were ok. The food was fresh and very tasty and they give you plenty of rice, sweet plantains, and mariquitas with each plate.

It's a great place to eat. They have live Hispanic music, and the food is fresh. My only concern is that they charge extra for condiments.
