Watercolour Grillhouse

We ate delicious breakfasts and dinners at this elegant high-quality restaurant all three days of our stay at Marriott Suites on Sand Key. As Platinum Elite Bonvoy members, we were offered the continental part of the large breakfast buffet for free, but we chose the $5 upgrade option which also included tasty hot buffet items and a delicious customized omelet. The service is top-notch, with attentive employees that greet you with a smile, provide knowledgeable information about the varied menu and the area, and happily create an enjoyable dining experience. Our favorites were Karen, the hostess, and servers Lauren, Taryn, and Lori, who all made us feel pampered during our vacation! The waterfront views are breathtaking, and we fortunately got there early enough at each meal to get a table by the window. (We highly recommend reservations, especially on Saturday night.) The very fresh food is mouthwatering, with wonderful flavor and beautiful colorful, artistic presentation. Our favorite items were the Crabcake, Grilled Colossal Shrimp, Grilled Salmon, Land ‘N Sea Sushi, Loaded Baked Potato, and Bread Pudding. We observed that in the Watercolour Lounge the bartenders looked so happy to be working with each other to create a fun and relaxing environment for the guests! They even have a sushi chef and pleasant live music that is not too overbearing. This restaurant seems to be a popular dining choice for people in the area who are not even staying at the hotel. We look forward to eating there again during our frequent visits to the Clearwater area!

Although Gulf Boulevard traffic was crazy the day after Valentine's Day, I was able to secure a seat at Watercolour Grillhouse. Naomi, the hostess, was so kind, understanding, and accommodating. So delightful. Our server, Lori, was also wonderful & the food was terrific. The place was hopping, yet Lori remained attentive and friendly. The noise level was a bit high, yet Naomi and Lori made the evening experience so enjoyable.

I ordered the French Onion soup for an appetizer. It was good except a little too salty for my taste. My husband and I ordered the Tomahawk steak for two for dinner. The steak was pretty good but they grossly overdid the garlic in everything! The mashed potatoes were garlic which would have been fine had there not been so much garlic on everything else....garlic on the asparagus, garlic on the steak and roasted garlic halves with the steak and asparagus. Too much garlic...very overpowering so I couldn't smell and taste the food very well. My husband is a garlic freak and eats it raw every day so he was happy as a clam with the dinner but I found it too....garlicky!

The food was really good, my wife had the sea bass and I had the bone in ribeye. The food and atmosphere exceeded my expectations! Our waitress Lori was a gem, she made us feel like royalty! The food, service, and views are amazing!! We were staying at the Marriott for a week and ate here a few times. The sushi, steak, and even the kids menu is really good! Highly recommend! It was my son’s birthday on the last day of our vacation and they gave us a huge dessert on the house. Super nice of them. Our server was Scott.

The service was impeccable throughout the evening, thanks to our amazing server Tyler, who was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The star of the evening, however, was the food. Patrick, the chef, truly outdid himself with every dish. Each plate was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I was thrilled when Patrick took the time to come out and chat with us, sharing a bit about his culinary inspiration and the restaurant’s approach to using fresh, quality ingredients. It’s rare to see a chef so dedicated to making the dining experience personal, and it added such a special touch to the night. Overall, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. With a fantastic team like Sean, Tyler, and Patrick, you can be sure you’re in for a memorable meal that goes above and beyond!

We absolutely loved everything!!! Especially our waitress LORI!!! We’ve had her 2x already and she is the best! She’s knowledgeable and friendly and also very attentive! Food is some of the best we’ve had. Thank you for making our getaway a fantastic one!!!

Really pleasantly surprised by this place. We went early on a Saturday night, so it wasn’t crowded and the service was great. Food was genuinely incredible. From the crab cake, to the tuna sushi roll, to the scallops and risotto - it was delicious. Highly, highly recommend the banana bread dessert. It was awesome. I was sort of surprised by the other negative reviews on here, but I think if you go before it gets crowded, you won’t be disappointed.
