Customer Review Summary
Cattlemen's Steak House & Saloon receives mixed reviews from patrons. Some diners appreciate the nice, rustic atmosphere and commend the quality of the food at events, especially praising the prime rib and friendly service. However, several guests find the food underwhelming, especially for the price, describing it as mediocre and poorly prepared, with issues like greasy sandwiches and undercooked steaks. Service also proves to be a recurring issue; some reviews mention slow and inattentive waitstaff, rude hostesses, and poor handling of complaints. Ate early in the week with a few family members. Atmosphere is nice, comfy and rustic. Food was just "ok", especially for the price. For what the meals cost I would have assumed the food would be excellent but it was disappointing. Salad bar was decent and seemed fresh. The chicken fried steak seemed like it was prepped in old oil or something. Loaded baked potato comes with a little cheese, sour cream and dried bacon bits out of a jar, not what I expected at a place like this. Sandwich's the kids had were greasy. Might try again just to see if the night was a one off but a little hesitant due to cost. Everyone was friendly and service was a bit slow but decent.

Have your next event or party here! We just rented their event space room for our annual banquet and everything was incredible! The service was SOO so good, the food was amazing, everyone’s food came out hot and such high quality we couldn’t believe it. The salad bar and the sweet kind servers were the best part 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent prime rib or awesome corporate or private event space

Good steak and good! I liked the soup and salad bar! The waitress was very nice even though she was swamped with tables… check em out !

The steak was decent. The baked potato was definitely re cooked. The atmosphere in this building is miserable, you can even hear the person sitting next to you. Everyone is trying to talk over eachother because the tables are so close together. They should just have them all connected. If you want a nice quite dinner for 2, this is NOT the place. Also the tables and chairs are patio bar furniture, just dressed up with a table cloth to cover it.

This is a popular venue and well liked. It is pricey. Two of the T bones were ordered medium rare. They were near well done. The waitresses took both back. She returned with them saying the cook said they were fine. I have never experienced a cook saying to take the food back. We refused to accept them back. New ones were made and were good. The slow service was due staff shortage (not the venues fault). Our waitress was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. Staff shortages are a problem everywhere. We have eaten there several times in the past and always enjoyed it. The food was well plated.

Went here Saturday night 1/18 . I mistakenly over-tipped the waitress :/. It was cold in there! Steak was undercooked. Waitress never came back to check on a table of SEVEN. Glasses were empty before she came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Server was UN-attentive. We kept wondering where she went. Stop talking to your coworkers and pay attention to your paying customers!! We’ll be celebrating milestones somewhere else next time.

The service was fantastic. The food was amazing. It was my first time coming here after it was recommended so many times. Don’t worry about the pampered people that write bad reviews, come experience it by yourself. You won’t be disappointed

To start off the service was extremely poor. We came in for our anniversary dinner. The hostess was extremely rude. We had made a reservation and the hostess was rude about it. When we were seated the hostess tried to sit us right by the door. It was very cold and we asked to move to another seat. The hostess got really upset and threw our menus on the table. Our waitress was rude and very checked out. She didn’t explain the menu at all and was irritated we didn’t order liquor. The salad bar was very high school quality and was nasty. The soup was tasteless and watered down. They had cold bread and hard butter, the bread was like generic and old. We ordered jalapeño poppers”Hot flashes “ they tasted like frozen food from Walmart. We ordered steaks, I ordered onions and mushrooms which totaled 12 dollars, but on the menu were both listed as being 6.00, total not 12. The steaks were mediocre at best and flavorless. My wife asked about ordering a sweet potato and was told they didn’t have any. Her baked potato was delivered covered in foil. The sour cream was delivered in a soggy container. I ordered rice which was very salty and soggy. We then ordered an apple cobbler which was burnt and in a tiny cup. It was very unpleasant and extremely overpriced. The bill came to the table and was hard to read. We asked for explanation and the server got very rude and stormed off. The place was very outdated and extremely overpriced and just awful. Do not come here it’s a joke and awful. I’d give it negative stars if I could.
