Customer Review Summary

Denver Stockyard Saloon - The Yard Bar will be closing in April for good. The food quality varies; some items, like the chicken sandwich, can be dry while the cheese curds and burgers receive praise. Service is generally good, though experiences can differ; one instance included a bartender arguing with staff. The atmosphere is described as cool and fun, with historical charm, but there's construction nearby affecting the view. Many patrons express sadness about the closure, highlighting the saloon's status as a historical landmark and a favorite spot for casual dates and events during rodeo season. Overall, the restaurant/bar offers a mix of enjoyable food, good service, and a unique atmosphere, but faces challenges as it approaches its final days.

First, I need to let you know that this location will be closing in April for good, so if you were hoping for one last experience here, do it ASAP. Also, I think all the decor is for sale. On this trip , the food was just okay as my chicken sandwich was pretty dry. Service was great, and decor/atmosphere is cool.

Went on a weekday, no crowd at all. Definitely more of a bar than restaurant. The cheese curds were really good and the nachos could've fed 4 people by itself. The dessert was really well made.

The burger was very good quality and the building was fun to visit as it is more than 100 years old. It was easy to visit with my friends as it wasn't noisy. One of my friend's beef sandwich was served cold, so someone wasn't paying attention. Those that got prime rib sandwiches were happy with their food. The beer was reasonably priced. There are many stairs for entry so consider that. I enjoy the history of the area but it is under heavy construction so no beautiful scenery. Steel, concrete, and debris for the meantime viewing.

Thought I would try it one more time, as they are closing for good in April. Set at the bar, finding the bartender arguing with the wait staff and slamming their orders down on the bar. He would have cared less that I was there. Taco plate good. Wish the staff success on finding another job. Sad to see an 80 year old legend go away!

I figured I would leave a review before this place gets bought out unexpectedly. I love eating here. I take my wife here for little lunch dates during the work day. The food is great. Staff is great. I'm sad to see this place going.

I got a recommendation from a volunteer from the Western Stock Show. The saloon itself has been an establishment for some time in Denver and the food did not disappoint. I enjoyed the chicken breast and chili. An authentic saloon adjacent to the stockyard. Hopefully it is still open for you

I hear this place is closing! So sad. Definitely a historical landmark. My new favorite thing is the chicken salad with a pepper. Sorry I don’t recall what they called it. So fantastic! So fun. Wish I would have come to dance before it was too late.

This is THE BEST Bar during rodeo season! You'll find guests, cowboys, and ranchers. There is always live music and dancing. I look forward to a night at the Stockyard Bar every January. Please don't close!!!!
