Visited here Valentine’s Day weekend, after staying at the Limelight hotel. My partner and I had brunch. Service was great, very laid back waiter. Open kitchen, where you see the chef cook, which I thought was pretty cool. Seating is spacious, cozy vibe. I wasn’t a fan of the French toast, but enjoyed everything else. Cute brunch place.

Must experience date night in Denver. Service, drinks, and food were on point! Flavors were unique and craveable. So sad we have not discovered this gem sooner! This is a must experience for all that is high end service and fine dining. Special thank you to our server Kristen for making the night exceptional. Her attention to detail and timing of our food was impeccable. Well done Ajax and staff!

This spot is perfect for a relaxed brunch! The food is not only super tasty but looks amazing on the plate. The staff was so friendly and on top of everything, making sure we had what we needed without hovering.

Great atmosphere and first time dining at Ajax. Sourdough bread appetizer topped with pickled mushrooms was good, but service is a slow for drinks and food (only a few other tables). The short rib wrapped in pasta sheet was an inventive dish — good taste! The halibut was too dry and too salty and topped with more salty tobiko/fish eggs. Mussels - a big portion but the unique curry/coconut flavor is too strong to eat as an entree. Only eat as a shared dish/appetizer perhaps. *Valet parking (only option) was $15 after validation. An unanticipated additional price to eat at restaurant.

When we visited Ajax i had the beets ( no longer on the menu. ) Everything was very good & we were very happy with our meal. I wanted to mention that this restaurant does not label vegetarian/ vegan food well. Many of the dishes are labeled “can be made vegan” and they also put beef fat on certain dishes so be careful. Overall good experience was just taken back by the menu labeling

Update: Jan 2025: this has been rebranded as Ajax and the menu has changed significantly. Our server Tyvonne was wonderful and the south side cocktail was delicious. We ordered the mussels, ahi tuna, mushrooms, and the carrots and we were underwhelmed. Everything was too sweet for me which is odd because I have a major sweet tooth. The mussels were hard to eat and a number of them were not completely open. The ahi tuna was cut like worms and was not a pleasurable experience. The mushrooms were rubbery and the glaze was too sweet. I was disappointed as we’ve had several really good meals here prior to the rebranding. 2024 review: We had a fantastic meal here on Wednesday night and highly recommend checking it out. Denny (our server) was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional and even comp’d a dessert to welcome our son and his girlfriend to Denver. The dip/spread board and the hamachi crisp were a great way to start the meal. Both very good. I had the trout which was delicious. It came with asparagus and a lovely sauce. The trout was very tender. My husband and my son’s girlfriend both enjoyed the gnocchi. It was creamy and not doughy. My son had the stuffed chicken which was really really good. We had a few sides (orders too much) and then dessert. Denny encouraged us to try the corn crème brûlée and I will be going back for it. It was odd initially but very quickly my mouth said yum and wanted more. The other dessert was the lemon bar which was delicious as well. This is a good restaurant especially since it’s in a hotel. Nice ambience. Not snooty. Good wine list. We stayed at the Limelight and the hotel is great and perfectly located downtown near the light rail and train stations.

Fabulous happy hour drink specials and small bites for a great price. Stayed for dinner and dessert and it did not disappoint. Huge portions and food was exceptionally prepared. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice little open grill/cook station as part of the dinning room, so you can see chefs making your food. We were thanked for dinning there on our way out, which goes a long way. Will definitely be back again!
