About Miki House - steak house in West Covina, California

Customer Review Summary

The restaurant Miki House offers a generally positive experience with quick seating and food service. The curry beef lunch special received praise for its flavor combination with rice. However, the Kare-Kare's oxtail was tough and the Lechon Kawali was undercooked, despite friendly service. One customer experienced rude behavior from a staff member at the counter, leading to a frustrating visit. Overall, many patrons enjoy the food, with some being long-time fans, particularly of the siopao. While the staff is noted as friendly, some reviews suggest that personal inquiries from workers can be intrusive. Finally, despite rising ingredient costs, the fried noodles remain a customer favorite.

For my first time eating at this establishment, I am satisfied with my experience. Positively, I did not have to wait long to be seated and receive my food. In particular, I ordered the curry beef lunch special with steamed rice. In regards to the curry beef, it came with chopped bell peppers and onions. From my perspective, it has a great combination of flavors along with the curry. Furthermore, the steamed rice complimented the dish well.

The Flavors of the Kare-Kare was good but the Ox Tail was really tough to chew. The Lechon Kawali needed a bit more frying for my taste and either the meat or the oil that was used was old. The ladies the was serving was very nice, otherwise I would have given them less stars overall.

Absolutely rude women at the counter. I put the menu down and walked away. I was told to leave because there's a 10 minute wait to prep the food? Then I was told to leave because they only have ala cart? Insane attitude, I would have ordered anything, l'm not a picky person. This women whipped out every excuse for me to leave while yelling at me like I'm her mortal enemy. Bad day or not this is not an excuse to treat someone willing to pay and tip, just trying to get some food.

Best food ever. I’ve been coming here ever since my prepubescent years. The best siopao to meat ratio. You gotta eat here.

The people working in the restaurant, should learn to mind their own business, wether they be owner or workers, I don't want being ask about my personal life

Friendly staff and the fried noodles with kikiams remain delicious but because of the economy going on, the ingredients went a bit short!
