Customer Review Summary

The overall experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is mixed. Many reviews praise the freshness of the food, particularly the salad and crispy fries, as well as specific dishes like the PB&J burger and BBQ sandwich. Service also receives positive notes, especially from attentive waitstaff and a welcoming manager. However, there are notable disappointments, particularly regarding the Pad Thai, which was criticized for having a hair in it and poor customer service during the complaint resolution. Other negative feedback includes an overpriced burger that tasted like a common fast-food item and unsatisfactory flavors from certain dishes. While the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, issues with attention from some waitstaff and inconsistencies in food quality have left some diners with a bad impression. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential but may need to address its inconsistency in food and service quality.

Loved it! Salad was so fresh and tasty, our desert was so good, Edward was the one taking care of us, very sweet. (We had the chance to meet the manager in duty too, super welcoming)

Fantastic first time experience. Waiter asked us if it was our first time there(which it was) and minutes later a manager brought us a complimentary Parmesan chips. I got the PB&j burger and it tasted great! The peanut butter and jelly was subtle and the candied bacon was amazing! My only negative was that the burger was messy to eat but that's on me.

My wife and I ordered lunch here today. The Cauliflower Buffalo wings were pretty good and the fries were amazing. Super crispy, just the right give, lots of flavor. I ordered the pulled bbq sandwich (pictured). Fantastic flavor and texture profile, stuffed beyond the bun (a must to feel like you got your money's worth). My wife's burger was the only disappointment. I kid you not, it tasted just like a whopper. So basically she bought and overpriced whopper according to flavor profile. Neither of us thought it was stellar. Everything else was good though. But the waiter wasn't really all that attentive and he didn't seem like he was thrilled to be working. Count your blessings sir, I was out of a job till recently and would have killed for a job. Be happy you're able to cash a check every week!

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Lazy Dog in West Covina (1440 Plaza Drive). I’ve always been curious to try their food because of all the positive things I’ve heard and read, so I was excited to order their Pad Thai. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I discovered a hair in my food. Having worked in restaurants, I understand that mistakes happen, so I stayed calm and reached out to address the issue. Sadly, the customer service only made things worse. I was transferred twice, put on hold for an unreasonably long time, and ended up speaking to someone named Steven. He refused to tell me who the manager on shift was or connect me with them, only promising I’d get a call back. By that point, the waiting and frustration had already killed my appetite. An hour later, a manager named Kelly finally called me. While he suggested I reorder the meal for delivery and promised a refund, the damage was already done. I had completely lost my appetite, and the resolution felt hollow. In the end, I was left feeling like nothing was truly resolved, and I just wasted my time and money. I was really looking forward to my first experience at Lazy Dog, but this incident has left a bad impression. I hope no one else has to go through something like this at this location.

Horrible experience at Lazy Dog. I went here for a Christmas party, I ordered the Pan Thai noodles. They were super nasty and had a over -powering sweet taste definitely not authentic. I only took a few bites and returned it back to the server. The plate actually looks good but don't be fooled it was horrible!

It was awesome that it was open late, very busy even then. Fun crowd, lively bar, and patrons. My vegetarian burger tasted so good, almost as if it was off the grill. The waitress was attentive and double-checked for food allergies before serving walnut pesto. Afterward, the bartender on duty broke a glass, and the room fell silent; then everyone laughed and cheered on! 🍻

Enjoyed a nice late dinner with husband at Lazy Dog for 1st time. The restaurant hostess and servers was super nice and we sat right in front of the bar. The menu gives you a variety of choices of entries to choose from. My husband and I decided to share food plates to try. Our entry drinks Paloma and Original classic Margarita along with a Queso Dip and Tortilla Soup. Our dinner plate we had to try the New York steak plate with green beans and mashed potato. We like the food very much it was tasty not too greasy. The experience went great had a nice pleasant environment not too loud and definitely a good place to have a date night.

Location: Okay, Parking: Busy, Service: Okay , Presentation: not bad, Overall: third time here, seemed my dish was smaller than before. Price was higher, the meal came in a decent amount of time. Been to 4 of these chain restaurants and I would not place it on the bottom. For this location, I give it 3.3 stars...
