About Edna Vees Public House - steak house in West Covina, California
Customer Review Summary
Edna Vees Public House is described as a chill spot with a comfortable atmosphere and inviting outdoor seating. The menu features good comfort and finger foods, although full meals are only served until around 10-10:30 PM, after which only shareable items are available. The wings are noted for being particularly well-seasoned and crispy, especially during happy hour promotions. Live music adds to the lively environment, with frequent bands providing entertainment, and the service is generally praised as attentive. The drinks are strong, and the space can get crowded, particularly during events like the Superbowl. Some reviewers expressed concern over the automatic 18% gratuity for larger parties, feeling that tips should be earned rather than mandated. Overall, Edna Vees is highly recommended for its great bar food, cocktails, and enjoyable vibe, making it a popular choice in Covina.

This was a very chill place. Good comfort and finger food. We got there too late to order from the menu. They stop serving meals I think at 10-10:30pm because we tried ordering and the waitress said that only shareable finger foods were available. And then they stop serving food all together at 11:30pm so make sure you get there early enough to order from the menu. I'm not sure if they have the same band playing or have different bands every Saturday. It was the first time we went. The band was good and although it was very loud, we still enjoyed it. All in all we had a great time. 18% Gratuity is added in your note on parties of 6+. I don't think it should be added because it's expected and I believe that the waitress/Waiter should earn that. I'm a hairdresser and tips are definitely welcomed. That's why I make sure to work hard and beyond, on my customer service to REALLY earn my tips. It isn't nice to force people to pay an 18%.

Great downtown spot for brews and American eats. Came on the Superbowl on accident, place wasn't super packed but it was busy. Food was good, what you would expect except the wings were beyond! Well seasoned and perfectly fried and since it was happy hour it was 5 wings for $5. Great deal!

Went to see a band called the Rockafellas, they put on a great performance. Bar was full, standing room only for a while. Service was good, several servers checking on us. We'll be back

Edna Vees is a must when in Covina. The atmosphere is inviting with an outdoor area in the front, which opens into the main area. There are games to play with the date or group you bring along. Enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail while watching the game. They have days with live bands playing or a dj to enjoy while having some of their delicious wings.

Great small bar with a great vibe. Indoor and limited outdoor seating. Can get very crowded with a good live band. Free parking. Strong drinks! Met friends here to see local band. Tiny dance floor but so much fun! We will all be back again.

After skipping the out the door line at Old World Deli, I decided to check out old town Covina. I had passed by Edna Bees plenty of times but tonight was a quiet Friday night so I decided to stop by. My no 1 was to be able to watch the nba double header and Edna’s did not disappoint. Plenty of tables, small outdoor space with heaters and fireplace. Nice bar and TV’s although smaller in size. Staff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t take a picture of the clam chowder because I could tell when it arrived, it was going to be bad. No amount of pepper or potatoes could hide this terrible bowl. No clams, thick like drywall paste and flavorless. My patty melt and chips were great and the staff was friendly. With tip my food items with Diet Coke was about $43. Pricey for one. Great lil spot but definitely come back for the happy hour food items. Plenty to choose.

I went here for an end of the week cocktail. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The Rosemary's Baby cocktail made with gin, raspberry, and lemon was tasty and refreshing.
