Eric Ericsson’s Fish Co. is a low-key seafood restaurant located on the pier with average prices. The fish and chips are highly praised, although some diners noted the tartar sauce and cole slaw could be improved. Generally, the food is fresh and tasty, with recommendations for the calamari, chowder, and fish tacos. The service is described as quick but somewhat lacking, as customers must pick up their own food and clean tables. Customers appreciate the restaurant's outdoor seating and stunning views of Ventura Beach. There are positive mentions of tasty cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great spot for casual dining. The restaurant offers parking validation and free water cups. Low key place, average priced seafood on the pier. Seat yourself. I got the small fish and chips, I'm VERY picky about tartar sauce, it was ok. I was appalled there was bell peppers in the cole slaw the fish and fried were perfect. Mom had calamari and chowder no complaints. Hubs has Halibut and fries, steamed clams. Clams has great glacier but were gritty. Overall we enjoyed our meal and would return if we're in the area.

If you ever visit San Buenaventura, aka Ventura in short, you cannot miss the seafood restaurant right at the beginning of the pier. You may park at the public parking and the restaurant will validate your ticket. Food is good there. Could do with less panko but c'mon this is America and everything must be deep-fried. When you are done with the food climb up to the MADEWEST Brewery house just above on the upper floor for your dessert. Ventura Light is good for a smooth start, followed by Hazy IPA. The place is a romantic spot for a date or even an evening alone, staring at the best sun set I have ever seen. The roof terrace with a glazed wall is just perfect. The place is generally clean but with such a view everybody looks through the window. Such a view deserves a perfect visibility, thus both the windows in the restaurant downstairs and the glazed wall on the terrace upstairs would do with an extra spit-shine.

Nice fish place by the pier! Staff was awesome, super clean spot. Food was tasty, just a bit too much fried stuff for me—but hey, that’s the American vibe!

Came relatively late on a super foggy night, servers were very pleasant and service was quick. Food was delicious and fresh!

We love coming to the pier and stopping by Eric Erisson’s Fish Co. We love it because it is great place we can bring our dog and grab a meal. The food is very tasty, they have many health food choices and alcohol beverages for purchase with beer on tap. We enjoy the fish tacos especially! They also have friendly, excellent service. Also the restaurant has a lot outdoor seating available, which has an amazing view of the Ventura Beach. You can also get parking validation and they offer free water cups! We will definitely be back again!

Great views, tasty cocktails with quality alcohol. Tasty spicy beer battered shrimp. This place has be a local spot since it was located in Pierpont. My sister would get paid to make sure the parking was for customers, and I would get to tagalong and go to the beach! Love supporting local businesses!! Definitely will be back!!

Fish and Chips, absolutely amazing. Got a fryer boat for 2 and for $30 it was great. It came with fish, shrimp, calamari and fries. We got jalapeño batter and it was a surprise of flavor. The location is right on the pier with great views and a great vibe. You wouldn't know this place existed if you didn't walk the pier. The service was non-existent. The reason for leaving a tip when your order is because you expect some sort of service. It's unfortunate that they almost force you to leave a tip since it starts at 15% and they don't do anything but take your order. You pick up your own food, drinks, silverware, condiments, and bust/clean your own table.... The food truly saves this place but please DO NOT LEAVE A TIP since there is no service.

This is an exceptional restaurant located on the pier. They serve the best clam chowder in a delicious bread bowl. Pair your meal with a side of calamari and you will send your taste buds to heaven. A beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. The food is delicious - you won’t regret stopping here!!
