One of my favorite spots, we got here just in time for happy hour, we asked front desk to be seated at the bar. Very nice gentlemen ! We sat at the bar self seating, bartender took good care of us. He took our order immediately. Got our drinks took our food order ! We grabbed a few items from happy hour menu. Everything was perfect ! Delicious. I love their clam chowder. The shrimp taco was amazing. All the food was so good. Place wasn't so loud. It was really nice. I love that everybody here greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home!! I will definitely keep coming back for happy hour !!

My wife and I went Lure Fish House in Ventura on a Friday for happy hour, which is from 3 to 6 pm. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating options. The happy hour menu has many great options for food and drinks. We got the spicy ceviche and charbroiled oysters and they were fantastic. I was impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. We ordered the two different fish options the salmon and the mahi mahi. The fish was perfectly prepared. The sides were also very delicious. Overall we had an excellent dining experience. It is a perfect place to bring the family or go for date night! I am looking forward to my next time eating at Lure House to explore other options on the menu!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday, and the wait was 40 minutes. Keep an eye out for texts and calls because they are strict about arriving on time when your table is ready (they will kick you off the waitlist if you’re late) They gave us bread to start off the meal. The bread was warm and soft. We got the sea bass skewers for the appetizers (comes with 2 for $19 and $9 for each additional skewer). The sea bass wasn’t very tender, and the sauce was too sweet. For my entree, I got the Cioppino ($35). The fish was unbelievably dry and hard. The soup also was watered down and lacked flavor. The mussels/clams were solid. The scallops and shrimp were tender. The Cioppino comes with this garlic bread, which was good. I tried my bf’s ahi tuna, and I was surprised by the flavor and the tenderness. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the meal here, especially for the wait.

After a cool, beautiful day at Channel Islands NPS, the Lure Fish House hit the spot. The recommendation for the plate of 20 baked oysters was just fantastic. (One star off since one of the oysters wasn't cooked like the others and came out slimy--but anyone who loves oysters more probably would have loved it.) The other dishes were just as beautiful and tasty. I especially liked how herby the drinks/cocktails were. So fresh! I would definitely come here again. We sat at the bar (no wait) and got to watch some of the kitchen prep, which was fun. The service from our waiter was definitely great.

We stayed at Crowne Plaza across the street and decided to go here for dinner, which was a GREAT decision. We sat outside on the heated patio. Service was exceptional! We ordered several apps to share, including raw oysters, sea bass skewers, and clams in white wine sauce. Everything was delicious!

Delicious food with friendly staff. The Blueberry Basil Margarita is a must try. It's balanced well and not too sweet. A must stop by whenever in town.

Love this place! We are from OC and found this place online. I wish these restaurants were closer to our home. Great service even on a busy Saturday night. Reasonable prices too!.

This was our second visit enroute to Los Angeles. Located in a plaza directly off the freeway; service was once again, excellent; very clean and well groomed establishment; food was very good; fish sandwich was great; fish and chips…fish is a bit heavily battered but equally good. You have a choice of sides. For a bit more $, you can have a cup of clam chowder which was terrific, light & creamy and filled with clam. Server easily accommodated special requests; Prices are reasonable. We continue to be impressed with this restaurant.
