We have been to Zareen’s Mountain View before and ordered takeout but that was not impressive. But this time, we are impressed by the food here and came here 2 days in a row. I recommend to order combo. The combo comes with salad, lentil soup, naan or rice and entree of your choice. Both chicken tikka masala and goat taste great! Garlic naan is so good! Chicken in boti chicken sizzler is tender, juicy and flavorful. However, we are pretty disappointed at weekend special. The Chana does not have enough spice and taste blend.

Nice large outdoor seating area, with friendly service and the line moved pretty quick. Food was served pretty quick and variety was super nice. We ordered almost everything and loved it all, spice was a bit on the lower side, but flavor was excellent. Have also had zareens catering before and the food/chai is all lovely. Daal, naan, challo burger and all the food was packed with flavor and tasted delicious. This was a good experience overall and definitely worth the hype.

While I usually don't eat Indian food I tried this place on a friend recommendation. Overall it was quite nice, the chicken and naan were fantastic. The rest was ok but wasn't for me. A bit far from my local area but still was a nice visit and for the pricing it was quite in line I feel. Worth a try for Indian food.

Maybe! Just maybe because I came from Vancouver and I’ve tried many Indian curry from Surrey area ( where you can find very authentic Indian food).. I find the food here are good but not like amazing… or something ppl say. I wouldn’t mind to give another try at different location.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried their chicken tikka masala thali, chicken samosa, and tandoori chicken sandwich with fries. Overall, it was a pretty good experience! The chicken tikka masala thali had a generous amount of chicken, and the flavors were on point. However, I was a bit surprised that naan wasn’t included with the thali—something to keep in mind if you’re expecting it. Still, the food was delicious. The chicken samosas were really good—crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. As for the tandoori chicken sandwich, it was okay—nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. The fries were also just okayish, nothing to write home about. The vibe of the place is nice, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. They all have patio heaters to provide a cozy environment during winters. It’s a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal. Considering the food quality and cost, I’d say it’s a pretty good deal. One downside, though, is that you have to order before you get seated. This can be a bit inconvenient if you want to order something else later, as you’d have to stand in line again. On the bright side, the food was ready in 5-10 minutes, which is great for a quick meal. The place had a decent crowd, so it’s clearly popular. All in all, I’d recommend this restaurant for a casual meal. Just be prepared to order everything upfront!

This place is great! They’re like an Indian Chipotle (when Chipotle was good)—they do a few dishes and they do them very well! They are also very popular, but despite how many people they bring in, the service is fast, the food comes out promptly, and you can still find a place to sit. I like getting the Chicken Tikka Thali from them. I like the paring of all the items. The chicken tikka is very tender and creamy and goes well with the rice. I also like the lentil soup, even though it’s a bit salty. And the little vegetable lentil salad they add has started to grow on me and so now I like how it adds a lightness to the meal. We came on a Wednesday evening and I was surprised at how packed it was. There was a little line to order, but it moved fast. They give you a number and you can sit anywhere. There is a lot of seating outdoors as well as indoor. Also they serve the food pretty fast. For me, I ordered 1 dish and 1 appetizer and it came out after 5 minutes of me sitting down at the table. They have good service too. Even though it’s pretty much self-server, someone still comes around to check if you need anything. I like how they put the napkins and utensils on the table. It’s very convenient and you don’t need to flag a waiter down. Parking: There are a few parking garages in that area of Palo Alto. We usually park at the one nearby.

Amazing experience. I wasn’t been a big curry fan but this place changed my mind. Got chicken tikka masala (9/10) And less spicey beef (5/10) not sure what the name was. Overall 10/10 patio atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will come back here

I was never a fan of Lamb Gosht curry until I tried it at this restaurant. The gravy here is noticeably thicker, with a subtle hint of tomato flavor that set it apart from others I’ve had. In a well-prepared curry like this, the meat almost melts into the sauce, blending seamlessly—a result of slow cooking over hours, and it’s clear the restaurant has put in the effort to achieve that perfection.
