However, many others were dissatisfied, particularly with the pizza, describing the crust as resembling a salty cracker or frozen pizza, and noting issues with the sauce being overly sweet. Service was identified as a problem, with complaints about inattentive staff and poor customer service when addressing food quality concerns. First weird thing was the “cigar store Indian”. The bartender was nice and the interaction was pleasant, no complaints. The pizza crust tasted like a saltine cracker.. my kids and I were hyped for pizza after climbing for a few hours and I was grossed out after two slices. They didn’t eat more than one slice each. I hate wasting food, especially pizza, so I tried to finish it but left three slices.. truly a travesty. Idk how this place has 4.4 stars if that is their regular offering.

Pretty small place, very plain atmosphere. Decent but small beer selection. I only had one appetizer, and it was just ok, so I can't really comment much on the food. Service needs work... bartender was not paying attention to customers and spent most of the time in the back talking to the kitchen staff. The parking situation was pretty bad, with a very small number of parking spots in front and back. Maybe the rest of the food is great, (there were several people who picked up pizza to go while I was there) otherwise, there's no strong reason to go back.

One of our families favorite places to dine. Watch a game and let the kids play in the mini arcade area. Been coming here for years.

I understand that prices had gone up , but when you order onion rings for $7.00 you get 8 rings , .99 a ring. This bull . And when I complained their response was this is the way it comes . I spend over &180 a month at Jakes. All they care is sales. Customer service sucks their

The crust was like a frozen pizza. The red sauce was too sweet. Toppings were generous and good quality. Looks like a cool bar, we had take out.

Amazing individual pizza. Crispy thicker crust with great melted cheese. Anchovies are good as well as the Italian sausage. Small bar with good drafts. Menu is extensive and good comfort food. Very down to earth atmosphere. Small arcade in the back.

Pizza is pretty breaddy and dry. We got one plain cheese, and one with pepperoni and sausage. But if that wasn’t annoying enough, the fact that they charged $1.25 for each takeout box really made me upset. I noticed someone eating in the restaurant was given a box, free of charge, to take home their leftover food. And they were fine with handing us a bag filled with 100 paper plates and a War and Peace-thick stack of napkins. But that $1.25 (times 2) was important enough to penalize us for coming to the restaurant and picking up our order. I guess all small businesses are nickel and diming people for bags, boxes, and credit card surcharges. I, for one, am not taking this anymore. I will not be going back to Jake’s of Sunnyvale, Jake’s of Saratoga, or Jake’s of heaven above, until Jake realizes the cost of doing business is HIS to bear.

This is the worst place I have ever been at, the worst pizza, it was burned and for some reason it taste like left over pizza. My wife and I ended up buying food from another place, and dumped the pizza in trash.
