Customer Review Summary
Salt Creek Grille Valencia is praised for its delicious food and large portions. Reviewers especially enjoyed dishes like scallops, portobello chicken, and lemon lavender creme brulee, although some experienced inconsistent service. While many noted the food was worth the higher prices, service issues—ranging from inattentiveness to order mistakes—were common complaints. Some customers had great experiences during special events like bridal showers and Christmas parties, receiving attentive service and enjoying buffet selections. Thanksgiving buffets were also well-regarded for quality and value. Overall, the restaurant is recommended for its food but criticized for variable service.

Went there for my birthday dinner. The food was DIVINE!! A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it and it was a celebratory dinner. Every morsel was bursting with flavor. Absolutely DELISH! Our compliments to the chef. I wore an "It's My Birthday" bling headband and the hostesses noticed it and wished me right away. In fact all the staff did, except for our waitress. She should have been more observant. It's the little things that make a huge difference. She was pleasant enough, but not exactly warm/welcoming. She did wish me AFTER I Itold her that it was my birthday. That's the only reason for the 4 star rating. Other than that, it really was superb. Loved the extra touch of cocoa powder dusting in the words "Happy Birthday" on the plate of my complimentary birthday dessert.

The good thing about Salt Creek Grille is their food. It's very very tasty and the portions are large. The scallops were a tiny bit rubbery but I forgive that because scallops are hard to get right and I still ate and enjoyed them. The portobello chicken and the grilled pear and scallops salad were excellent. The lemon lavender creme brulee was to die for!! The drinks we had (april showers and pain killer) were pretty good but nothing to go home about. And yes as you'd expect it's very pricey here, but my partner and I went for our anniversary so we had planned to spend a good amount. Was disappointed to see they don't do the anniversary dessert that I saw in other's reviews anymore I guess, we told both the hostess and waiter it was our anniversary but we didn't get it. Not the end of the world I guess. What was pretty dang bad was the service. Poor dude had no idea what he was doing. I don't know if he was new or just had an off day. But he forgot what our orders were, forgot we had already ordered dessert and didn't put the order in, forgot to get our to go boxes that we asked for, and our drinks came AFTER the food which was really strange? Plus he'd chat with other patrons about random things for so long that other tables would get neglected. I saw one guy come up to the waiter while he was near our table and ask for a fork presumably because the waiter didn't come to his table to check on him like he should. At one point he said he'd be right back and then ended up talking to another table for so long I considered asking someone else for help. It was honestly ridiculous. Great food, bad service, not worth the $125 I spent. Might return if I got a different waiter and had money to burn?

Amazing spot to host a party! We had a group of 25 girls for a bridal shower in the private room. We were there on a Sunday and did the buffet brunch, which had an amazing selection. They had a build-your-own pasta station and an egg station. Great selection for all different tastes. Many more options as well! The waiter, Phil, was super attentive and sweet to all of us. We constantly felt taken care of. Drinks were filled at all times! We stayed after to enjoy espresso martinis at the bar which was fun! Super grateful for the experience, and everything was flawless!

Went there for our office Christmas party. Had a party of about 25 and we received the best service imaginable. Food was outstanding. We had a pre-arranged signature menu for our event which included Chilean sea bass, Portobello chicken, ribeye, surf and turf or a filet mignon serve and terrier as well as braised short ribs . I tried them all and every single dish was phenomenal . Next, the drinks! At salt Creek grill they have an amazing bar and selection of spirits. They had holiday specialty drinks and an outstanding wine list. Not only did they have fantastic wine but they have top shelf Bourbons, rums, scotch and of course, we can't forget the tequila. ...Lots of great tequila! Last but not least, the desserts were not a disappointment. I was so stuffed at this point that the only dessert I tried was the apple pie cheesecake and it was heaven, pure fall on a plate heaven. Our party was out on the patio which gave us access to our own private bar outside of the restaurant. It allowed us to have a fantastic atmosphere as it was all open to the front Mall area yet blocked us from the general restaurant. Perfect place for your office, Christmas party or any other special occasion for that matter. Could not have asked for a better experience! Ecstatically, highly recommended!

Thanksgiving day meal review only. We'll be back for a "normal" meal and I'll update if needed. I gave food 4 stars but make no mistake, edible food from a restaurant serving a Thanksgiving day buffet is impressive. This place was actually good! Super impressed with the quality. It was packed at 2pm when we got there and only got more crowded before we left. The food was hot/warm, fresh, shockingly tasty and thorough. I grew up in the deep south so the dressing and green beans were not my style, still decent though. Everything else was borderline superb and feeding that many people in a non-native format, a buffet, is really, really impressive. It wasn't cheap but it was more affordable than the well below average pickup we got from Whole Food last year. This may very well become a tradition for us. No fuss, no mess and juicy turkey, fluffy mashed potatoes, great rolls, the whole bit. Desserts could be improved but frankly that's nitpicking. I realize this review is all but meaningless since it's such a niche event for a restaurant like this but if you've stumbled on this review looking for advice on value and worth of a turkey day dinner out of the house, this was a big thumbs up.

Went for the Sunday brunch. The food was great, the service was great. My only complaint is with the card reader/tipping function. We tipped 20%, and the machine calculates the value based on the bill+tax, instead of just the bill. In the end, it only changed the amount by $5.00, but still, why am I also paying tip on taxes instead of the food/service itself?

Did not have a great experience. Food was expensive for the quality. The calamari was spongy and soft and the stroganoff pasta has some strange flavors going on. The ribeye was ok but comes with some basic fries, the side modifications we ordered were not given to us. When there is live music the atmosphere is not conducive to a family/social experience. Server looked at me like I was crazy every time I called him over.

First time going to this restaurant. The service was great, and the food was delicious. My family really enjoyed everything from the service, food and atmosphere. We can't wait to go back. I had never heard of this restaurant, I'm glad we came across it. We went to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience, we certainly will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.
