Dismaying and disgraceful dining experience and to Mexican Cuisine for an assortment of reasons: - Food was overpriced, mediocre quality, funky taste and unprecedented consistency issues across multiple dishes. - Extra food menu items were insanely priced (additional tacos by themselves - $8 for a mini tortilla sized taco) - Business operating within a fine line of questionable ethics and parameters in accordance with revised California Law SB-478 regarding automatic gratuity for establishments. They attempted to charge us predetermined tips even when we were separate parties too. - Bold claims on their menus stating additional corkage/cake cutting fees! This isn’t a fine dining restaurant folks. - Unbalanced/unlevel tables - 1 refill per mediocre fountain drinks - glasses were smaller than liquor glasses. Overall disappointing dining experience and disgrace to Mexican Cuisine - we won’t be back!

11:30pm good vibe of people, good music But expensive drinks. Vodka and cranberry juice 🥤 $15 there is no much place to go in Santa Clarita. So I guess is fine. I will come back and try the food 🍱 and I will give an update. Peace out ✌️

Good food, but we came on a weeknight and it took F O R E V E R to serve us. We had 2 appetizers and luckily we did cuz there was only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant but it took over an hour to get our food. Only one server and it looked like only one cook. The server was kind but he was making all the drinks, bussing the tables, taking orders, and bringing out food all by himself. Also the men’s bathroom door didn’t lock. Anyone could just walk in on you. It was sketchy. But food was good.

The food at El Trocadero was really good! The restaurant allowed us to book out the entire space for a family event and the service was top tier. Highly reccomend their food and if you want to support a local Mexican restaurant, El Trocadero is the place to go!

I have been there twice in the last few Weeks. The food is excellent. I am obsessed with the rice and beans and the shrimp is tasty. I went to see the live music on a Thursday. What a fun night out! Then I went to celebrate my friend’s Birthday. We all had a great time.

the food here is to die for - I get the shrimp tacos and they are amazing 🤩 the shrimp is cooked perfectly, the tacos are jam packed with flavor, it comes with some of the best guacamole I’ve ever had and THE RICE AND BEANS - I don’t even usually like beans but they must do something to them because I swear if I wasn’t a civilized human being I’d lick the whole damn plate clean. the people here make you feel like family and the live music is awesome - especially on thursdays ☺️

My husband and I tried to go to El Trocadero for a comedy night they were hosting, and I had my service dog with me. The hostess was lovely, showed us to our table and provided us menus. Within seconds of entering the restaurant, the owner requested "all my animal's paperwork". While I do have the appropriate registration paperwork (which isn't actually required by law), I kindly mentioned to the owner that businesses are actually only permitted to ask if the service dog is trained to perform a task and are federally protected. The owner did not once look up to address me to my face, instead, she continued making drinks behind the bar and shouted, "Well, I'm the owner and I am kicking you and your animal out". This was alarming on so many levels. This power trip underscores discrimination against people with disabilities which is simply abhorrent. She made a scene when there was quite literally nothing to trigger this kind of response. My service dog is trained, incredibly well behaved, highly socialized, and provides invaluable services to me, as all service dogs should be. This discriminatory behavior is not what we have come to expect in the Santa Clarita / Valencia community. I highly recommend skipping this restaurant.

I was really disappointed with our dining experience at this restaurant. I took my wife out for dinner, and we ordered Queso Fundido, Grilled Shrimp, and Two Shrimp Tacos. Unfortunately, only the Queso Fundido was decent. The tacos were served in soggy tortillas, overloaded with lettuce, and the shrimp portions were disappointingly small. However, the worst part was the rice and beans; the rice tasted stale, as if it had been sitting out for days. I would recommend avoiding this place if you want to save your money and avoid a subpar meal.
