Q1227 Restaurant

We took my daughter here for her Birthday. She said it was one of the best restaurants she has ever been to. No matter what we ordered, the food was AMAZING. You can not miss when ordering anything from the menu. Service was also stellar! Thank you to all those who worked hard to give us such an amazing experience! Our compliments to Chef Q!

Bottom line: we had a very unfortunate experience, and gave them several opportunities to make it right, and they did not. Full story: I’ve had a couple positive experiences at the other location, and some of the dishes we had on this night were top notch, which is why I’m still giving a very fair 3 stars even after a >$500 1-star night. We made reservations for our company party and they sat us 40 minutes late. One person on our team only had an hour to begin with, so she pretty much missed our dinner. While we waited, we gave them several options to accommodate us, and they declined. That was the theme, they made lots of mistakes, we gave them realistic options to make it better, but they refused. The worst part of the evening was the $220 50 oz Bone in Ribeye that we ordered Medium rare that came out with about 16 oz of actually edible meat that was absolutely torched. The server agreed, the manager acknowledged, and then they gave us 10% off 🤦🏽‍♂️ after several efforts to get them to comp the worthless piece of beyond well-done meat. Unacceptable. For the record, we ate what we could because at this point we had waited for over 90 minutes for our food and were very very hungry. We were committed to having a good time, and they could have easily made this experience better, but they took the stubborn, cheap and short term thinking route. It’s too bad, because they are capable of great things and it’s a cool spot. I can’t imagine going there again which sucks.

Beautiful restaurant. Food was ok. Service was ok. Went in on a Monday around 6pm, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to us taking forever to decide on what to order. 3/4 of the menu descriptions can be a bit more descriptive because it almost reads like mashed potatoes, cooked meat, juices from said cooked meat. Not very sexy - which is weird because the restaurant is. The serving staff is figuring out their pace as far as refilling beverages but are very personable and great for asking about the menu. The clam chowder was flavorful and the plating was gorgeous. The lobster bites - reminds me of breaded shrimp maybe because of the cocktail like sauce served with it? Maybe rock a second sauce based on mango and some heat? The Lamb Wellington should go under its own name and be its own thing. Needs a stronger mushroom taste because it's almost lost when eating. Maybe work it into the sauce that was beautifully drizzled underneath? The cook on it was perfect. Ask for lemon wedges to squeeze over the meaty parts - your taste buds will thank you. Absolutely will go back and try more of the menu.

Amazing atmosphere, food and experience. This was our first time here and we are definitely coming back. We had the pork belly and fried lobster appetizers, they were both amazing with unique flavors. For mains we had the pork chop and braised short rib, everything was fantastic.

Food was okay, one of my friends didn’t eat hers. The texture of the appetizer as if it was reheated. Beets salad, Mashed potato was good. We were seated outside with half playground/live music 🎶 ambiance.

Lots of smokey flavor in the collards and octopus salad. Gumbo was very flavorful. The cheese bread loaf was super fun, loaded with cheese peppers garlic and balsamic. The place is beautiful, romantically dim and so pretty inside. Decorated now for the holidays. Artwork on the walls and nice fixtures. The outdoor space is modern fun and lovely with a succulent garden.

Appetizers and entrees all were delicious. Sadly to say, the service left much more to be desired. Our server was unprofessional and unsure of himself. Our drinks were empty for well over 1/2 hour before we could flag down our server for refills. When our appetizer plates were cleared, we were never provided new eating utensils. After our entrees came out, we sat for almost 10 minutes before we were able to get the attention of an employee to get us utensils to eat with. Even though the food was fantastic, poor service negatively affected our experience.
