Customer Review Summary
Jake's Roadhouse offers a variety of dishes that receive mixed reviews. The ribeye steak with eggs is praised for its juicy flavor and generous portion sizes. However, some diners found the beef ribs tasty but on the dry side. The atmosphere is colorful with friendly, attentive service, though some found certain dishes lacking flavor and overcooked. Onion rings are highlighted as a standout, while the mac and cheese and baby back ribs disappointed. Several reviews express dissatisfaction with certain menu items, particularly the child’s hamburger and tri-tip dinner, describing them as underwhelming and possibly sourced from frozen goods. In contrast, the breakfast burrito and Tony's Hot Cheese Burger receive enthusiastic recommendations for their quality and flavor. Overall, while some meals shine, others fail to meet expectations, leading to a divided opinion on returning.

Had the ribeye steak and eggs. The temperature of the meat and my eggs over medium were spot on! The steak was juicy and perfect. The portions here are huge and worth the price you pay. If you come, get ready to eat.

Got hungry after car shopping n Raman shop I want to go happen to be close on Tuesday so want to try beef rib n happen to come across this place. Not a fan of pork rib, so got the half rack (4 ribs). It was huge n taste very good. Worth the money. Meat was a little bit on the dry side n sauce was very good too. The 4 ribs is $21.95 plus $2.95 for the side. Can’t complain

At first it may seem odd that I chose to order a steak at a BBQ restaurant, but that's what I was in the mood for and their reviews looked positive. A placard outside the front door also advertised their ribeye, which only reinforced my decision. Interior decor is very colorful and cool, I like all the effort put into the license plate collection. The staff was primarily young but they did a good job, sometimes two different people stopping by the table to ask the same question, and my food was served very quickly. The ribeye was a decent size and too well done for what I asked for (likely because of how thin it was), but still juicy and edible. The only seasoning I tasted was pepper, so it could have used some salt prior to cooking. It's certainly reasonable for the $30 print point, so as long as your expectations are aligned it was acceptable. The coleslaw was nice and creamy, but could have used a bit more sweetness. Beans were undercooked and many were still too firm/crunchy, but the sauce they were in was tasty.

We really wanted to like this place given the reviews and the recommendation of a local, but we just didn’t. I’ll start off by saying the servers were very friendly, attentive, and the food was out quickly. The onion rings were really good, they were the best part of the meal. Awesome ranch dressing also (you know how that can be hit or miss). Two of our guests shared the 5 sliders with pork and tri-tip. Both tasted good, however the onions kind of overpowered the tri-tip and the pork was chewy. The Mac n cheese really didn’t have much flavor, the noodles were pretty soggy and floppy. I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and fries. Again, the pork was really chewy, but also dry, and there was very little of it. For $17 I got a plate overflowing with fries and a side of pork. The coleslaw was fresh and tasted good, good fries. The bite of corn muffin that I had was overdone and dry as could be. My husband had the kickin chicken sandwich-it was supposed to be spicy and was not. Nothing special about it. The place is clean, there are neat signs and license plates all over the walls. However, we would not come back.

I ordered a child’s hamburger here yesterday… The hamburger patty inside was about the thickness of a slice of bologna maybe a little more… I asked the server about it. He told me they changed hamburger patty vendors… then proceeded to tell me it’s because it’s a child’s hamburger… at $12.00 ! And he just wanted to argue with me about it. I’m sure the other hamburger has the same meat… i’m sure there’s not a hamburger patty for a regular burger and a hamburger patty for a child’s burger.. to try to hide it they just loaded up the hamburger with a ton of lettuce… i’ll never go back ever again… this place has really gone downhill !

This place was recommended to us by some of my mom’s coworkers. We came in hungry and excited for some barbecue! However, the food quality left us both feeling a bit disappointed. I ordered the tri tip dinner with mixed veggies and mac & cheese. The tri tip was just thin, grilled pieces of beef with a sweet bbq sauce slathered on. The mixed veggies reminded me a lot of the frozen veggies I buy from the store (it was a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots), and the mac & cheese tasted like it came from a chain buffet. The dinner also came with a blueberry cornbread muffin that was a bit dry. My boyfriend ordered the baby back ribs and made the same comment about it seeming store-bought, which surprised me as I hadn’t even mentioned my own opinions yet. The service was good, though. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. As far as atmosphere goes, there was a Dodgers game being shown on the TV, and someone sitting nearby us kept shouting while everyone else seemed to just want to eat and talk with their family/friends, so it was a bit disruptive. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Even if Jake’s Roadhouse doesn’t serve any frozen or store-bought items, the fact that it tastes like they do is already enough to dissuade me from returning here.

Breakfast burrito the bomb, ask for the red salsa, it's perfect for the burrito.... very satisfying. I recently had a chicken sandwich, it was juicy, brioche bun, 8oz chicken breast, juicy, lettuce and tomato, hit the spot...a must try if your a chicken sandwich person...i came back to try the TONY'S HOT cheese burger, the picture speaks for itself, thick juicy beef patty on a brioche bun, this one had some hot peppers that gave good kick, avocado lettuce, tomato, all fresh....I was super stuffed and couldn't breathe, but it was worth it....a must try.... TONY'S HOT cheese burger, very good 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
