Loved everything about it! Went on a busy Saturday night and lucked out with immediate seating at the bar (full menu served). This place gives good vibes, prompt, detailed service, and delicious dishes! We enjoyed all of the following: - Broccoli (hubby’s favorite) - Cornbread (my favorite) - Lamb - Octopus - All enjoyed with an Old Fashioned for him and an Aprés Ski for me Would love to come again and explore more of the menu!

Food was just okay. Broccoli was a bit too oily, chicken was too dry. Lamb was good, pork chop was fine. I expected the food to be tastier for a place that cost $70 per pax. But service and atmosphere were very good. That's why I still gave 4 stars

I haven’t been here since covid . The perfectly balanced flavors of every dish still impressed me. If they sounded good on the menu they tasted even better than you could possibly imagine. The drinks are so much fun. The staff is super attentive and aggressive with suggestions in the best way possible. The downfall for me was how loud it was . I’m positive my husband took me here so he could enjoy his meal in silence . Well worth it I say.

From the outside most people think this place wouldn't be as good but I love the look of the restaurant. It's very rustic. Please make sure to make a reservation. We checked in and went to the bar while we waited for our table. Zach and Abby was fabulous. They asked our name and introduced themselves and gives you very at home feel. My husband ordered a beer and we just chatted. They took us to our table and that's when we met Drake. He explained the menu since this was our first time being there. He also recommended his favorites. We ordered pretty much everything he suggested and it was FABULOUS! I ordered a espresso martini. Yum! We ordered starters and our meal and they scattered out the items which was awesome. We started with the oysters and cornbread. The blue fin sushi was so good. I heard so much about the broccoli and it is as good as everyone says it is. Entree's came out and I ordered the Ricotta Cavaelli and my husband had the market fish. Two thumbs up all the way around. The hospitality here is on point and exceeds all expectations and really kills it at that part. The food is delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely a place that I would visit again. Thank you to everyone for making our dinner experience 5 stars.

Service was brilliant. Everyone was very nice and personable, plates and silverware were changed out promptly, peanut allergy was well addressed by each service member. The food was great and we quickly filled up. Definitely a higher price point especially for cocktails but it was well worth the nice experience. We enjoyed the cornbread, crudo, octopus, and cavatappi. The kid liked his chicken dinner; they had a chicken, a fish, and a grilled cheese option.

Arrived at 5pm without a reservation and was able to get a two top without any fuss. The space is such a vibe. Chill, spacious and relaxed. Ordered two items from Trailhead, two from Kindling and two from The Fire. Was enough food for two hungry humans. The Corn Bread is fantastic. Crispy on the outside and soft interior melts in your mouth. The Oysters are also so good. In a warmed broth that brings so much character to the oyster. Broccoli is the must have item. Will be the first thing I order when we go back. If you like tequila based cocktails, ask for the Aloe Black. It’s no longer on the menu but they’ll make it for you.

Had dinner there tonight (Saturday, Nov 16 2024). The food was outstanding. Their bar program was great. The service, impeccable. This place is a must if you’re in the Carlsbad/Oceanside area. I recommend trying their broccoli, the octopus and the ricotta cavatelli. The smores were a really fun idea too! So grateful for the hostess, Janee - I forgot my handbag under the bar and she called me to come pick it up! Very professional establishment all around.

This is a must stop if you are anywhere near Carlsbad. The service, food, drinks and atmosphere is fantastic. Server was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We were all impressed! You have to get the s’mores too! So save room for dessert.
