Customer Review Summary
Wooden Nickel Tavern offers a great atmosphere for playing pool and is known for its delicious wings, often cited as some of the best in town. Many patrons enjoy the welcoming service from bartenders and the dedication of the owner, Joey. However, there are serious complaints regarding the treatment of service dog owners, with multiple reports of denial of service and a hostile environment. Some guests have experienced poor service and delays in food delivery, especially during busy hours. While the food quality is generally praised, issues with certain staff attitudes have been noted. Despite mixed reviews, the tavern seems to have a loyal following among those who appreciate the food and overall vibe.

Another great spot to play some pool. The food is a sleeper hit, the wings are in the running for best in town. The bartender is always really kind and fun to talk to every time that I’ve been.

Would give it a zero. Immediately felt bullied and verbally attacked. Arrived with my service dog. Was denied service and kicked out. Spoke with bartender and owner. Both perfectly happy to violate our civil rights. We're well aware that it was a violatiolation. And welcomed a lawsuit, saying they can't wait. Owner parked coidencially was parked next to us. Followed us out and blocked us in as if to intimidate us. Worst experience we have had in a long time. Will never return. Very well aware of laws, and happy to break them. We were told by 3 people on way in dogs not allowed. But since we had a service dog with a 3 foot red leash with florescent 3" lettering "service dog" didn't matter refused service anyways. Seems like this is an ongoing trend with this place.

After lots of searching we found our FAVORITE wings! Crispy outside, tender inside is a must for us and that’s exactly what these wings are!😍 We ordered the Buffalo Hot, Garlic parm and tater tots. I have to add, we went for the wings and stayed because of the amazing atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We met the owner Joey and totally fell in love with The Wooden Nickel. The love and dedication he has to this place made us love it even more. We’re new to the area and I think we just found our favorite dive bar and wing spot! We were told the burgers and fish tacos are great as well. Will be trying those next!

Website says “famous 50 cent wings”! Menu says $1.00 wings for happy hour. Kinda a miscommunication. Takes about 45mins to an HOUR to get food during happy hour. (But the wing ARE worth the wait)

We had the opportunity to visit this place twice while we were in town. The atmosphere and service is great! Not to mention the incredibly delicious wings... I want more! We also tried the tacos and a burger which where very good! Such a great place!

The cooks here are actually trained chefs. The food is out of this world. The pastrami sandwich is a must. Sylvia and Erica - the bar tenders I met. We’re personally interested in my happiness. A joyful place Some of the other waitresses. One name stars with an R. Makes it no fun. She has the attitude of you bothering her. So sad to see

I came in today with my service dog and she wasn't allowed in, I was told we had to go outside.I will NEVER COME BACK HERE NOT EVER. .SO many bars that accept my baby hard working service girl cause she is more than a service dog she's my baby girl and my life line

Came in for an NFL playoff game. Sat down. No service for 12 minutes. Atmosphere was basic enough. Food smelled good but I have no idea how it taste could not get any service. Best of lucn
