About KOGI Korean BBQ - steak house in Tucson, Arizona
Customer Review Summary
KOGI Korean BBQ is highly praised for its authentic Korean food and exceptional flavors. Reviewers commend the generous assortment of sides, especially the pickled radishes and kimchi. The restaurant is family-owned, fostering a welcoming, mom-and-pop atmosphere. While the food is consistently delicious, service can be slow due to limited staffing. Many suggest opting for takeout if you prefer quicker service, as it may take time to get attention from staff. Diners recommend trying the beef bulgogi, soondubu, and bi bim bap, all of which received high marks for flavor. Overall, the restaurant offers a great dining experience despite some service-related challenges.

This is by far the best Korean Resturant I’ve had here in ARIZONA. Real Authentic Korean food with all amazing flavors. There sides are to die for as well. I 100% recommend this hidden gem.

MUST TRY! Came here for a casual lunch. Food is amazing, our server was also preparing our sides before & after we ordered (they do it all here & are so cool), food was fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned. we were given an assortment of fermented veggies that all had their own unique flavor. We got the combo app #1, the Korean BBQ bulgogi beef & the short ribs. 10/10 highly recommend all of those. This is a family owned restaurant my bf & I highly recommend!

It's conveniently located in the strip mall with plenty of parking. This restaurant still has that old time mom and pop Asian family feel it's a definite classic type vibe with Auntie up front taking orders and the rest of the family in the back cooking and putting to go orders together. I always like to support a locally owned business. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Having said that the service was fast and efficient . It's also about being realistic about the food. This is not a mall based chain restaurant or a high end bistro somewhere. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. This is a Vietnamese restaurant. So there's lots of variety in the menu.

This was my second time dining in and while the food is SUPERB, the service is consistently poor. There’s only one server on the floor, who seems to struggle with multitasking. It took us at least 15 minutes to get a menu and then another 15-20 minutes to put in an order. I’d recommend doing takeout unless you’re aggressive enough to get the waitress’s attention to serve your table. Otherwise you will probably be overlooked, waiting for awhile. HOWEVER, the food is soooo delicious, hence the 4 stars.

First time here. Staff is sparse but welcoming. So many dishes to choose from. I chose the Bento Box Beef Bulgogi lunch special (a handful of specials to choose from). My brother got the spicy shrimp, and nephew had pork Bulgogi. You get soup prior to your food (misso?). Then, if your entree came with them, sides of Korean vegetables (the pickled radishes were the star imo really flavorful). I would have liked more of that and the kimchi side The entrees were all very good. Because it's a small place, you get very personalized attention. But because the staffing is so small (I'm not sure, possibly all family members?), tables don't always get cleared right away. If you haven't tried Korean BBQ, you owe it to yourself to give this place a try

You have to try the soondubu here!!! It’s the best tofu soup I’ve ever had! I got it with beef, my mom got the bi bim bap, and my dad got a chicken dish (can’t remember the name). Everything was delicious! The kimchi here was also some of the best kimchi I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!!

Food was nice and fresh, beef bulgogi was crazy delicious. It was busy but for what it is I can see why and the service was ssssuper good Andy helped us out with everything we needed and made us feel welcome for our first time, despite it being jam packed. Amazing service 10/10! if you got the time would stop by :)

A little place run by Korean women that is worth trying for its food! After ordering beer or wine, we ordered an appetizer, which came made from scratch. We ordered entrees, which comes with soup and sides. Miso soup, then 4 tiny sides consisting of kimchi, bean sprouts, squash, and radish. Then came the amazing sizzling entrees. A definite place to try!!
