HiFalutin Rapid Western Grill

Because I use the term “Hifalutin” all the time & we drove by this place, I knew we needed to try before leaving. We got there right around dinner time during the week and was asked if we had reservations (which we did not because we didn’t even know about this place til we happened to drive by). Luckily they had room for the 3 (2 adults & 1 teenager) of us. The atmosphere was pretty cool and the service was attentive. Menu (including food & drink) items were plentiful & priced well. Lemon drop was tasty. While waiting, we got some blueberry cornbread muffins - which were delicious. The steak stuffed quesadillas & salsa/sour cream were shareable & very good. The meatloaf sandwich could also be shared - had great flavor. Too stuffed for dessert but had to checkout the menu nonetheless. The reviewer were mixed but we decided to give it a shot and glad we did. You should too

As we travel, finding fun local restaurants is part of our adventures.  Tucson has many local fun places to go with great food.  We found HiFalutin Rapid Western Grill by driving by the location several times & the outside decore caught are eye, so we finally decided to check it out with some friends.  From walking in and seeing the decore and how busy it was, we knew how great it would be.  We made a reservation ahead of time (Recommend). And they sat us within 15 minutes of that.  The staff was friendly & always checking in on us before we got to our table.  Our waitress Francia was Amazing, very prompt & always making sure everything was right without even asking us.  We ordered a variety of food & everyone was pleased.  Note: The mini Bluberry Muffins we're intoxicating!  We highly recommend this restaurant & we will be back in the future.  Enjoy!

My husband and I checked out HiFalutin while on staycation. We didn't know what to expect, but it is indeed a hidden gem. The menu is very diverse, and offers something for everyone. Our server was professional, friendly and very good at his craft. All the staff were polite and friendly. We were in the mood for steak, and they did not disappoint. We ordered the prime rib special, and New York strip..both cooked perfectly to our request. The margaritas were also on point, and they have an impressive wine list too. The restaurant itself has a fun Western vibe. If your down Tucson way...give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

Our waiter was rushed and impersonal, the prices were high for what we experienced. I substituted steak for the chicken on my salad and asked for medium rare. I was informed the meat would come well done so I asked how we could fix that and was informed I'd have to order a steak to be put on top. Okay - the steak did come out medium rare, but cold and not as thinly sliced as one would want if putting on a salad and under-seasoned. My companion's steak was nicely charbroiled, medium rare and seasoned as one would expect. The charge to add chicken to the salad was $3, I was charged $18 for the steak. A nice pile of veggies came with my companion's meal - they looked great but were not tasty. Sweet corn-based mini muffins come with the meal - when our dinner arrived before the bread my companion inquired and was informed they took 17 minutes to cook. Hmmm... I don't believe I will be a repeat customer. Ah well.

Our children had the Fiesta Tacos, the children's ribs and the children's spaghetti. We only brought home leftovers because there was so much food. The Mud Pie was delicious, and we had it with ice cream. Definitely recommend.

Everyone I had the opportunity to interact with from the hostess to my waitress Isabel was absolutely pleasant. Isabel recommended the special: Surf and turf which was prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious. I also had the Crem Brulee at Jessi’s recommendation which was month watering. I am not too found of sweets but it was not over powering and it was a fantastic conclusion to fantastic meal. Thank you all.

Cute, more local Texas Roadhouse type spot. Menu quite limited, what you'd expect at a similar-to-TR place. Service was attentive and friendly. Food came fast and was fresh with large portions. Prices were slightly higher than you'd expect with this type of location. Good place to take less adventurous parents or grandparents.
