Understand that I have sampled numerous places in the New England States and established a king of the hill but have never experienced a smoked salmon chowder and have to say it is the new champion in my opinion. Paired with the halibut burger served "Bill's way" is hands-down a great experience! Excellent and friendly service makes for a great experience in Anchorage.

The atmosphere and service were outstanding. The halibut and fries were amazing as was the salmon spread and bread. Definitely wonderful place to eat. We will go there again when we are in Anchorage.

Fabulous service! Casey and Erin were spectacular in their efforts to take care of us. We went back the next night (which isn’t something I usually do) just because they were so wonderful. The gluten free options are not obvious but the staff went above and beyond to make sure that I had an awesome meal. I hope that everyone that eats/drinks at Humpys has the same experience we did. Can’t wait to return!!!

Food was delicious. Service was awesome. They have something like 60+ beers on tap. Very casual bar vibes. I had the health but with chicken. The teriyaki sause is amazing. My husband had the cob fish and chips. They were some of the best French fries I've ever had.

Wow, very impressed! Had the chowder and I was definitely blown away!! With the big chunks of salmon and rich creamy flavor, it was a tough decision to either get cup... Or move over to the next dish. I'm really glad I got the opportunity to try their blackened halibut burger. Juicy, and well seasoned with perfectly crisp french fries. Would definitely recommend 🤙

Quality food with reasonable prices. The alleged famous halibut and chips was as advertised. Nothing fancy. Fresh chunks of seemingly fresh halibut with the perfect amount of breading cooked for the perfect amount of time. Excellent dish. The fries were good, nothing great, but it did not matter because the halibut made the dish. The chili was also very good. Not too salty or spicy and obviously homemade. My only complaint is the chairs for the high tables in the bar area were uncomfortable. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. I would go back here.

Perhaps my favorite place in downtown Anchorage. Casual vibe, great food, great service, fabulous bar service. This place is perfect all throughout the day - come whenever you have the time; brunch, lunch, dinner, evening drinks.

I started out with the smoke salmon chowder. It was delicious. Highly recommended. For my entrée, I had the horseradish crusted halibut. I would describe this as good but not great. Could not taste any of the horseradish crust. It would’ve been nice to have this have a kick to. The portion was a little bit dry and fairly thin. I do plan on coming back, but when I do, I’m going to get the, halibut fish and chips. The beer was cold and the service was excellent.
