No matter what city I visit, if I see a Texas Roadhouse, there is a probability that I will eat there. Yes, I have had the food here several times, but it is one of the few chain restaurants that is always consistent with the taste of their food. We were visiting Montgomery as part of our road trip to New Orleans. We arrived here in the evening and just wanted a decent meal. We were seated pretty quickly. Our server was so kind and sweet. She got us some drinks while we took firever to make up our minds on the food. I always get a steak, baked sweet potato with all the fixings and a salad. I have to have their salad because they put boiled egg in their salad. That is rare. The croutons always taste fresh and homemade as well. The icing on the cake is the ranch dressing which they make in house. It's so good to me. As usual, my steak and potato are cooked just like I like it. The place was packed and a noisy bit that was just fine with us. The server had a smile and conversation with great service.

Server was monotone. No smile. Ordered my steak to be medium well. Arrived medium rare. Sent it back & it returned very well dine, shriveled, no juice. I left it untouched. Server saw i left my entire steak & never asked if there was a problem. Whoever was grilling 12/19/24 has no idea how to make steak. My companions was very bloody & they ordered medium. Photos of same steak, neither are medium well. Waste of $50 Rolls were great....

I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the chicken didn't appear to be cooked done enough, and it was cold like it came directly from the cooler or refrigerator!

Decided to dine out with my family to this location. After my experience with the horrible customer service, I won’t be back. I asked to speak with the manager about my experience. She was unprofessional and unpleasant. Has several issues that I wanted to bring to their attention she didn’t seem interested nor did she even try to listen or accommodate us as customers. We had an issue with my 6 yr old son kids meal which came out 20 mins after the family was almost done with dinner. The servers/waitress's were great they had to apologize for the manager “Jasmine Lester’s” poor behavior. Other customers even witnessed how she conducted herself. My experience wasn’t warm or welcoming at all.

The food was consistent and tasted great. Only half of the restaurant was being used and it seemed like they didn't have enough servers. It felt understaffed for a Sunday after church.

UPDATE! 28 FEB 2024 2ND VISIT I knew they could do it! Texas Roadhouse has redeemed themselves with this one! Let's Talk about! Arrival 28 FEB 2024, 8:30pm Server Zay - (good average server) Appetizer Wings pros: GREAT (BEST MILD FLAVOR WINGS IN MONTGOMERY) rating 9.8 STEAK (PORTER HOUSE) pros: Well-cooked and great taste cons: Fatty rating 9.5 MEATLOAF (spicy) OMG! BEST! pros: soft and well-seasoned cons: none Brussell Sprouts pros: well cooked cons: EXTREMELY TOO MUCH CREAM SAUCE Overall visit: Redemption! The food was off the charts. This makes me think the first visit was a fluke or bad day... Ill definitely be back for the wings and MEATLOAF (spicy) FIRST VISIT Everything is bigger in Texas, but what about bursting flavor??? Gird up your loins, here is my review of Texas Roadhouse of Montgomery,AL. [Note: Visit was 1.5 hours before closing] Main Dish STEAK (biggest they had) Pros - Cooked well done! - Nice size Cons - Flavored but nothing special - Had to use steak sauce 🤔 Rating 7.8/10 SMOTHERED CHICKEN Pros - Cooked thoroughly 👌 - many onions Cons - Didnt come with gravy (see pictures) Must ask to be Smothered - many onions - seasoned but nothing special 7/10 Appetizer - Snake bites (jalapeños poppers) too greasy 7/10 - Boneless Buffalo Wings Small/thin 7.5/10 Salads Ceasare salad - Too much dressing House salad - average salad Server Alex Cool guy, nothing special, just did his job.
