Charles Anthony's Restaurant At The Pub

This is our second time at Charles Anthony and the food and service was amazing. This was the best steak I have eaten in a LONG time. The temperature was correct (medium) and it was so tasty. I tried my parter's salmon and it was so juicy and moist. The sides were flavorful as well. Our server was very thorough in explaining the specials and answering any questions we had. It was a wonderful time!

First time here and I will say the food wasn’t bad at all. The steak was cooked perfect just as I ordered it. The loaded potatoe was good. But now I was disappointed with my salad. Now you guys can do better with that salad. It’s literally nothing but spring mix salad and a few crotons. There was no cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I know for a fact the prepping of salad is simple and inexpensive in the restaraunt business. Please do better with the salad. I was surprised when the salad came. I’ve never seen a salad so naked. I forgot to mention the roll. That roll had no taste and it was hard as a rock. The steak tips and rice were awesome. The chopped steak wasn’t bad either other than we though it was steak tips and rice but it was basically hamburger steak. Overall everything was good but that salad need major improvement. I forgot to mention the crab claws. $40 for a half pound is overpriced. They were good but not $40 for a half pound good.

I ordered a cup of gumbo as my starter, & their dish of the evening Scottish Salmon w/ a side of rice (additional cost- server was correct that I didn’t probably wouldn’t need it as the dish was filling but I ordered it anyway) as my main. My husband ordered the ribeye. One of the best meals I’ve ever had! To top it off they had my fav dessert crème brûlée.

The reeses peanut butter pie is really extravagant and tasty. Everything else falls a bit short. The chopped steak isn't very good. The gravy is jarringly salty. The sauteed crab claws has excessive wine that wasn't cooked out properly. Good flavor despite that though although the price is extremely steep for just crab claws. Overall a mixed bag of quality items and disappointing items but a good experience.

All I Can Say Is... OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND FOOD!!!... The Food Was So Good Till I Almost Ate My Fork, Seasoned To Perfection And The Service Was Truly Awesome, Our Server Ray Is The Man, Me And The Wife Are Overjoyed.

This was my first visit to “The Pub” and I was not disappointed! We arrived at 4:40 and the place was getting packed after just ten minutes of opening the door. We ordered the chicken supreme with white cream gravy and almonds with cheese grits and a side salad with the house Greek dressing. The dressing was incredible!!!! My only complaint is that they only serve spring mix and do not have romaine or iceberg lettuce. I’m not a fan of spring mix. I had the 12oz ribeye with fried okra and onion rings. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was amazing! The onion rings were homemade and very good. The batter was a little thick for my taste but I still ate a few. The okra was fresh and delicious! I can’t believe I waited this long to check this place out and I will definitely be back!

I went there on my birthday. I wish I had gotten the fried oysters my friend ordered. They tasted better than the Steak Roulades. They were too small and burned, and the salad was good. 2024 Update We loved the Fried Combo Platter. It was delicious, and so was the Key Lime pie. Our server was very nice.

Me and my boyfriend came to eat to celebrate his 29th birthday. It was only us 2 so no wait at the door for such a small party. I’m a server myself so I always over analyze my service/food/ and atmosphere of the restaurant. Food was amazing. Everything came out ant awesome timing. I got the chicken pasta which was great. Also amazingly generous portions in my opinion. We are foodies so we like fancy AND generous portions. He got the seafood platter. I tried his shrimp ,THE FRIED SHRIMP WAS AMAZING and he said the fish tasted so very fresh. We had spinach artichoke and onion rings for an appetizer and they were 10/10 the salad was also so amazing . It was fresh so it was definitely brought out as soon as it came up. He said the Hush puppies had an odd consistency on the breading but could have been caused by sitting on plate with fish .. We had zero complaints. Services was AMAZING . They were definitely busy as it was a Saturday night. After new years. That is what made the service stand out so well -it never lacked due to how busy they were. Our server AJ (I’m pretty sure) was absolutely amazing and we NEVER went without anything we needed. We NEVER felt rushed. And we also were never waiting for anything we needed. Perfect service if we could have afforded to tip him $100 ,we would have. When we come back to Montgomery we will be sure to come eat again and request him as our server. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves at this restaurant as he is an amazing server. We were so impressed. He said it was the best birthday dinner he has had. I’m so grateful their was a wait at the chain steak houses and we decided to come to Charles Anthony’s. 100/100
