Customer Review Summary

The restaurant Capo Capo offers a mix of experiences according to reviews. Some patrons enjoyed the calm atmosphere, good service, and appealing cocktails, noting the nice indoor and outdoor spaces. However, others expressed disappointment with the food quality relative to the high prices, describing it as average at best. Several reviews highlighted poor experiences related to reservations and service, particularly during special occasions. While some dishes like the short rib croquettes and pasta received praise, others, including the salmon and garlic shrimp, were criticized for being overcooked or lacking flavor. Went for our anniversary dinner. Place was calm n quiet. Apart from us only 2 people were there. We started off with some iced tea, tomato basil soup and calamari. Soup was a good start n calamari was okayish. Had short rib gnocchi and lamb porterhouse as main course. Nothing tasted special according to the price we paid $100+ Just an expensive place with average food though the environment is perfect for someone who's looking for some privacy

Attached to the Marriott, is a nice restaurant located on the ground floor. Really nice indoor space, a nice sized bar, good outdoor space. The cocktails were good. The food was wonderful. Service was good. It's just a really good all-around experience.

We stayed @ the Norfolk Waterside Marriott for 2 days, when we got here we were hungry and tired, so we decided to have our food delivered to our room! We ordered the short rib croquets and a pasta, it all was so delicious that we ended up coming to the restaurant itself the next night, which is unusual for us, as we like to change things up !! Service was outstanding, food was excellent!! Here are some pictures of what we ate @ the Restaurant itself

Worst restaurant experience in my entire life, I wish I was joking because I picked this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. I called them to confirm my reservation and ask what they could offer for his special day. Spoke with a man that told me he would save us a spot overlooking the restaurant and that we would get a complementary dessert. When we arrived a women was on the phone for awhile and once she was done she didn’t ask for our name, just said table for two. I said no, gave her my name for the reservation. She then started walking downstairs which I immediately stopped her and told her what was told on the phone. Her manager then came over and told us they decided to close the top section. I again told them what I was told and they decided to keep their word. Manager stated that us in particular will have to wait longer to get service and food. I told her I just wanted what was said to be to be honored. Thankfully our server was really nice and helpful. Once our food came we were disappointed. We ordered GARLIC SHRIMP (5 small pieces one skinny bread), PAN SEARED SALMON and CHICKEN MILANESE-two drinks: Dolce Limone and Smokey Paloma. The salmon was overcooked and his risotto was undercooked so it was super crunchy and had no flavor. Can’t believe we were charged $109 (not including tax or tip) for it. The food was nothing like the photos. Worst part is they completely forgot to give us his complementary dessert. We even waited for it and nothing. Worst experience I’m so embarrassed I took him to this place after he took me to Ruth’s for mine. Please avoid this restaurant for special occasions, you’ll be disappointed. Save this spot for drinks after work.

I booked this reservation on Open Table for Valentine’s day. we arrived and the atmosphere is nice, but everyone seems on edge/annnoyed/frusterated. we are told that they had a fixed menu for $55 per person or we can sit at the bar for bar food. the hostess then tells us (rudely) open table should have told us. they did NOT. whatever we sit at the bar, order a couple of drinks then start with an app. order their pretzel and dip. thinking it was pretzel bites at a fancy restaurant no? we laughed so hard it was so disappointing. (pic attached) they gave us pretzel crackers with cheese. we left after that. hostess = awful. the bartender = amazing and so sweet

Great service today at lunch. The PIG and the VODKA pizzas are delicious. Also enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich & Fries!!!

The eggplant stack was a perfect dish on a hot day. Not too filling but full of flavor. And the cheesecake was a great ending of the meal. Had the wild boar shank in the past and it was most satisfying.

Tried this place on a whim and was not disappointed. A nice and cozy atmosphere and the bar area is great. Service was excellent, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on me but was not intrusive. I started with the Wedge Salad, one of the best I've ever had. My main entrée was Strozzapreti pasta with mushrooms and Spinach in a cream sauce. It was enough to share and was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Great for solo dining, fancy dinner, or romantic night out.
