I had a good experience here today. The food tasted good. I had their Philly Steak sandwich, and it seemed authentic as far as I can remember what an authentic one tastes like. The service was adequate. The restaurant is small and a little run down. Overall, this place really doesn't stand out as exceptional, but it was pretty good.

Great little place to grab a meal. Friendly staff, fast service, tidy and quaint indoor dining area. The menu is a great mix of your usual burger restaurant items alongside their own unique stuff, such as the nachos and English potato bites. Perfect for nearby residents. I've never tried the drive-thru, so I can't rate that as accurately but I assume it is effective.

We used to come here when it was Stans, so we thought we’d try it out. We have tried several burgers and sandwiches from the menu and all have been delicious. The fries are great & served with fry sauce. They have specialty drinks. The prices are also great. Hope they stay for as long as Stan’s!

This is a cozy place that serves good quality food at great prices and leaves you feeling satisfied. We had our food within minutes of ordering it, I would say it was faster than many fast food chains I’ve been to. The fries were so hot. I had to let them cool down for a moment. Which is good! Even the desserts are reasonably priced. You get a huge banana split for six dollars. And they have other options as well. The vibe is fun, a mix of college kids and older people like me who enjoyed listening to the 70s tunes they were playing . There’s a bit of a train motif going on and it’s fun to blow the whistle as you leave. There was more to choose from on the menu than I was expecting, so I will be back soon.

The burger and fries were delicious. But a little pricey for the size. The steak sandwich was just okay. The bun was very dry and the meat mostly just tasted like black pepper and maybe like they need to clean their grill, not sure. But it’s the bathroom cleanliness that is the reason I won’t be coming back. It looks like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long and definitely needs a remodel. The toilet bowl was completely orange and rusty. The sink was old and super dirty. It was up there with some of the worst convenience station bathrooms I’ve been in. Sorry but if that’s what the bathroom looks like I can’t help but wonder about the kitchen. 😬

Have visited #SteakExpress several times here are a few comments from each visit and some of what I’ve tried. Enjoyed a #PhillyCheeseSteak sandwich, #onionrings, and #butterscotch #shake from Steak Express. Located in the old Stan’s location. Wonderful mushrooms and veggies in the sandwich, besides the meat and cream cheese. Onion rings are battered and fried crisp. Nice cool shake to counterpoint the savory sandwich. Definitely a go to place, I never went to the place on the west side but I’ll be going to Steak Express again! I’ve written about Steak Express steak sandwiches before and their yummy #onionrings. However this time I ordered their #LocomotiveBurger. Which I enjoyed more than expected. It is like it was made for me. Mushrooms and onions piled on the burger with a nice sliced pickle. It had BBQ sauce on it, which is what I often put on my Burgers when I make my own. I decided to avoid the starchy carbs of yummy fries or onion rings, and went with a side salad. The side salad was larger than expected, made with a pile of mixed greens and lettuce. Sliced cucumber and tomato, and carrots. Steak Express always exceeds my expectations and they have never disappointed me. I’ve also enjoyed many flavors of shakes, often their shake of the month. I’ve enjoyed #ClamChowder, a nice change from their burgers and cheeseSteak sandwiches, and their Cod #FishAndChips all have been very tasty.

Ahead of a concert, my husband, mother-in-law and I paid a return visit to #steakexpressprovo. I opted for a chicken strips combo and a raspberry shake. My husband had a scrumptious ‘thanksgiving melt’ with a cranberry shake. To be fair the cranberry flavour was more pronounced in the sandwich. My mother-in-law went for a Philly cheese steak combo with lots to bring home to enjoy on another day.

The people are nice, but the food just doesn’t last. It tasted terrible, the meat had sat out all day. The meat to bun ratio was not good. You basically pay for stale bread and a slice of ham or what they call Stake.
