Customer Review Summary
McBride's Steakhouse has received mixed reviews. Many patrons praise the perfectly seasoned steaks, particularly the Filet and New York strip, and commend the delicious side dishes like pinto beans and fried okra. Service is frequently highlighted as attentive and friendly, contributing positively to the dining experience. However, some customers feel the food does not justify the prices, citing issues with temperature and flavor of sides and other dishes. The bar area is criticized for being small and uncomfortable, yet the wine selection is noted as excellent. Overall, while many enjoy the steakhouse and recommend it, others find it overpriced and below expectations.

First time eating at this restaurant, definitely won’t be the last. Ordered medium rare steak with Heinz 57 steak sauce. Steak was so perfectly seasoned - never used the steak sauce. Side dishes of pinto beans, fried okra and fried mushrooms were off the charts. Our waitress was not only helpful and courteous but funny as well. Fantastic restaurant would be an understatement.

Great cuts of meat at a fair price and had a great bartender. As far as food, the presentation is eh, but very good. y You'll eat every bite if you get the Filet. The place could use some renovations. The bar is small with only 5 seats and and stools are too short. The bar counter is almost above chest length when you sit down, making eating a stretch. Great wine selection though.

The best steakhouse in town! Started off with their very cheesy and crispy potato skins as an appetizer. Their New York strip was perfectly cooked and the Mac and cheese was super creamy. Was not a fan of their whipped potatoes or gravy, didn’t have much flavor to them. The best entree was their burger. Loved the mesquite wood flavor and thick slices of bacon. You must try their bread pudding dessert! Not too sweet and the cinnamon sugar on the ice cream made it so much better. Can’t wait to come back !

One of my favorite date night or fun girl's night places to go in Wichita Falls! Never had a bad martini here, the food is delicious, and service is spot on. You cannot beat the prices either - great food and drinks at affordable prices. Highly recommend McBride's on Maplewood.

The steaks were good, not great! The sides were warm at best and when they brought out hot sides they didn’t taste good. Just spent $75 on a meal not even worth $40. I gave them 2 stars just because of the service and steak…you can clearly see in the photos the sides were replaced. Save your time and money.

Food was overpriced for what you get. I paid 35 for a 12oz ribeye and the people there don’t tell you what the price is that day for that steak because it is “market price”. I tried asking and no one, not even the manager, would tell me what the price was. Shrimp was cold, sides were cold, steak was lukewarm. Temperature felt like it was out resting too long. The mushrooms were good I suppose. They were at least hot. Service was good so that’s a plus. All in all I won’t be returning. The steak didn’t taste better or worse than what you get at Texas Roadhouse, the shrimp wasn’t better than red lobster and that’s saying something, and the sides were sub par at best. At least at Texas Roadhouse you’re not paying an arm and a leg for steaks and sides and they cook things to the right temperature and serve it hot. I expected better after everyone talked it up and all I got was overpriced failure.

I've eaten at McBride's for as long as I can remember but it's been a couple of years since my last visit. My teenage son & I went last night & the food was delicious as always; Tina provided excellent service & live music was a bonus. Thanks WF!

4-19-24. Back again 1 year later and they still have the best steaks in town. They are so good when my wife asked for steak sauce the server said ok but taste it first? She was right!! It didn't need it!!!! Don't miss out! I know steak and this restaurant does too! Tender, juicy and well seasoned! They open after 5. You will need to get there early to get your share of their Golden 🥩. I will visit the next time I am in town.
