About Miss Pasta - steak house in Richardson, Texas

Customer Review Summary

Miss Pasta is a fast-casual restaurant known for its fresh, handmade pasta and generous portions. Diners appreciate the ease of to-go orders, the cute atmosphere, and the friendly staff. While the food is delicious and authentically Italian, some dishes were noted as slightly salty or not as refined. The burrata with basil pesto is a standout appetizer, along with other pasta dishes like the fettuccine alla bolognese and Ricotta Tortellini al Tartufo. Prices are considered a bit high, and the use of paper plates and counter service may be off-putting for some. Overall, customers recommend Miss Pasta for its flavorful and fresh offerings, and many plan to return for more.

This is a fantastic fast-casual restaurant! The handmade pasta is incredibly fresh, and the texture is absolutely superior. Based on photos in reviews, I expected small portions served, but the real-life portions are generous. I left with a full stomach and a happy heart. Highly recommend this place! Oh, I love the fact that they made to go so easy. You just grab a lid and go because the food comes in paper bowl container ready to go 😉.

This might be one of my new favorite casual pasta spots now! We grabbed a variety to-go to try, and don’t let the portions fool you… we were all stuffed. Not quite five stars since not every pasta dish stood out, and it’s definitely on the pricier side. But our favorite was hands down #20 - Ricotta Tortellini al Tartufo (truffle). So good!

This is behind Sweetwaters cafe so just parking and walk :) The atmosphere is cute. Prices are affordable little high but all of their pasta is made from scratch. The focaccia bread is super spongey and good.

Amazing little pasta restaurant. Everything was made fresh and packed full of flavor. We got the fettuccine alla bolognese, tortelli Al turtufo, and the special vodka pasta (#30). Everything was great. Very friendly staff. They also serve Italian wines by the glass or bottle here.

Very hard to find good Italian food in Dallas and this place hits the spot! They definitely know how to cook the pasta and the distinct flavor in each pasta is unbelievable! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good authentic meal

Wonderful new fast and casual Italian restaurant. It's the kind of casual place you'd see in Italy that serves up fresh and housemade pastas and sauces. The lady there did say the owner was from Napoli (Naples) and brought his own family recipes over. Really refreshing to see authentic dishes like this. We got the burrata, fettuccine alla bolognese, and tonnarelli alla carbonara. The portions were really big! The burrata had a basil pesto that was easily the best thing we ate here. It tasted so fresh and smooth especially paired with the burrata. Dipping the foccacia in there was a great start to the meal. The focaccia itself was good but not great. It was soft but not as airy or bouncy as I was expecting. It was nice that it was served warm. The fettuccine alla bolognese had a hearty meat sauce. The noodles had a great texture but the sauce was a little on the salty side. Still very good though. The tonnarelli alla carbonara also had great pasta but the carbonara sauce was a little on the watery side and also a little salty. Overall, definitely a great experience and will definitely be back. You can definitely taste the difference with the fresh-made pasta (which they also sell). Some of the pasta sauces could be refined a little but the burrata with basil pesto is something that I'm still thinking of. Lot of great options on their menu to explore.

First of all, the food in this place is incredible. Absolutely delicious. Very authentic and the pasta is homemade. The reason for the four stars are for several little things. First we ordered an appetizer (burrata with pesto) and ordered an extra piece of focaccia to go with it. Our food came out before the appetizer and when I asked the food runner about it, he just said sorry and we got in about five minutes later. So then there is the decision, do I let my cold appetizer get warm, or my hot food get cold. It would have been nice if someone tried to make it right. The next issue is that everything is on paper plates and bowls. And it is counter service, so you have to “tip” before you are served. No one in there is getting paid as a “server” and dependent on tips. But you have to tip for counter service and then you don’t get your appetizer and no one tries to make it right. Tips are for service, right? Also, this place is kind of expensive. $3.50 for a piece of bread, etc. The food was excellent, but for that price it could be served on real plates, by waiters working for tips. I had the lasagna which was delicious although not warmed all the way through. My husband had #11 , the fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle sauce and it was delicious. The burrata appetizer was fresh and creamy and the pesto with it was a perfect balance between the garlic and basil. I will go back because it was so delicious.

Tried Miss Pasta after the one we were going was closed on a Monday. In The Shire off Wyndham Lane, next to TEXAS. Cute outside seating area lit up and a water display; cozy. They have gluten-free pasta, just not the stuffed items. Appetizers of 2 meatballs and homemade bread; Delicious 😋 Gluten-free tube pasta with meatballs enough for 2, as well as regular pasta with meatballs. All homemade!! Gnocchi is available, too. Next trip, we'll split a salad, appetizer, and 1 entree. We will return.
