About Texas Roadhouse - steak house in Pearland, Texas

Lively chain steakhouse serving American fare with a Southwestern spin amid Texas-themed decor.

Customer Review Summary

Texas Roadhouse receives mixed reviews from its customers. Many praise the friendly bar staff, welcoming atmosphere, and the polite clientele. The generous portions, particularly the hot, complimentary bread served with cinnamon butter, are highlights for diners. Most entrees, including steaks, chicken, and fish, are reportedly flavorful and well-prepared, complemented by fresh, made-from-scratch sides. However, there are notable complaints regarding service and food quality. Some patrons experienced significant issues with orders, such as receiving burnt appetizers or the wrong sides, and despite attempts to rectify these situations, customer service seemed unresponsive or dismissive. Instances of poorly cooked steaks also caused dissatisfaction, with guests receiving items that did not meet their specified doneness preferences. While some customers express a strong desire to return, others are dissuaded from future visits due to disappointing experiences.

The bar staff are friendly and you can eat a meal alone or with friends and watch the game. The customers at this location are friendly and polite. This is my favorite location. The food. The helpings are generous and you get a whole lot. The hot bread will fill you up so be careful about eating too much before your meal arrives. An appetizer, your meal and the hot bread are going to be more than enough and they will give you a container to take home what you could not eat.

A True Steakhouse Gem I recently had the pleasure of dining at Texas Roadhouse and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends. The first thing they serve you is their famous and absolutely delicious bread rolls that are made from scratch. They are made constantly and are served hot and fresh every single time, and are complimentary. The rolls themselves are light, fluffy, pillowy, and perfect for dipping in their delicious and made in-house cinnamon whipped butter. And the best part about it is that you can always ask for more, and it’s completely complimentary. These bread rolls really made the meal very special and satisfying. Their entrees like their steaks, chicken, and fish are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, and were tender and juicy—exactly what you'd expect from a top-tier steakhouse. But what really impressed me was how the entire meal came together. The sides were just as noteworthy as the main course. The french fries, baked potatoes, the gravy, and their other sides are all fresh and made from scratch, and were rich and flavorful. You even get two sides for every entree you order. From the service to the quality of the food, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. You’ll leave satisfied, full, and already planning your next visit.

The restaurant features a rustic Western theme, complete with cowboy décor and a friendly, welcoming vibe. We enjoyed the fresh-baked bread with cinnamon butter. The staff were attentive and energetic, contributing to the overall experience. We had bbq chicken, beef steak, pulled pork and mushroom chicken with various sides and all dishes impressed us. We also loved the cool touch of giving salted shelled peanuts.

Our server was a rockstar—attentive, quick, and full of personality. They kept the water flowing and even helped us navigate the massive menu with great recommendations. Shoutout to the kitchen for getting food out fast without sacrificing quality!

On Christmas eve I ordered 78.00 worth of food. Specify no bacon on a entree received bacon. Ordered a appetizer and received burnt food. Dinner rolls had no cinnamon butter. Received no utensils. I couldn't even enjoy anything. Tried to call texas roadhouse back to rectify the issue no one picked up the phone. I do understand it was day before the holiday but still I expect the food to still be great and also I expect what I ordered. I'm very disappointed at what I received.

By the picture correct me if I’m wrong is this medium? The server Xavier arguing with me that’s medium & the GM Oscar that simply did not apologize or care of what I had to say about the service tonight. After being at Pappas Restaurants for over a decade along chef McCloskey, Gaspard, Vilardi to name a few so I know that my expectations are always a bit high when it comes to restaurants but this has got to be the most ridiculous terrible service I’ve ever had anywhere. I have came here numerous times never have had a complaint they can even check the records. Tonight took over 10 min to simply get greeted by the server Xavier which already a red flag. We place our order salad gets brought out but we have no silverware. The food has not yet arrived it’s past 30 minutes when looking for the server I see him talking his life away with the bartender until they notice I’m looking for him. Another server brings the food as soon as we get it the steak is rare not medium how I ordered it. No big deal it happens. But the fact when I alert Xavier and he automatically blames the kitchen basically washing his hands that it’s not his fault. That is something you don’t do. Again another 15 minutes pass by we ask for a manager multiple times until he brings the steak and as soon as I explain my service they bring another steak different than what Oscar had given me with the excuse we mixed them up. I’m explaining to Oscar giving him the feedback about the service tonight he is giving me the restless I don’t care face and instead of apologizing he just asks me to cut the steak. Mind you this steak is burnt and dry I cut in the middle which is common sense and it’s well done! He argues that I need to cut on the sides and not even that’s medium it’s medium well! At this point I’m over it tell him it’s fine it is what it is. By that conversation with Oscar he does not care about the guest experience he is not what a GM is supposed to be. Xavier comes and ask “how is that medium steak” I tell him look this is not medium it is what it is let’s move on he argues multiple times it’s medium that even now my wife gets involved as well saying that is not medium he says well you know what I’m sorry. This is ridiculous unacceptable not sure how Texas Roadhouse will take this but here’s my 2 cents thank you good night.

This was my first time back at Texas Roadhouse since moving back to TX. I used to work at one back in 2010 and was anticipating going here for dinner. I went with my boyfriend and it was wasn't what I thought it would be. The rolls were baked very well, and had a nice crust on top. We ordered the grilled shrimp for our app and both got an 8 oz filet mignon. My boyfriend got STEAMED* vegetables and mashed potatoes. My sides were a house salad (probably the best thing besides the rolls and my boyfriend says the shrimp (I did not want to try one)) and a sweet potato. *This asterisk is here because it was in fact steamed for maybe 3 seconds. His carrots were crunchy and ashy. What's up doc? Fast forward to our steaks coming THE FIRST TIME. RAW. I'm talking raw. Like he cut into his and it was RED and RAW. Mine was RAW and.. RED...... We ordered medium rare. It got sent back. Came back with a cowboy manager I say cowboy manager because he did not seem that interested in food service but rather looking like a cowboy. When I cut into my steak, firstly it was already cut in the middle but I cut the left side of it and it.. was.. RARE. He saw that it was rare and had asked me if I wanted it to be sent back......... again... FOR THE SECOND TIME. I declined and my boyfriend ate his, his was medium rare had some rare parts towards the outside like mine but mine was entirely rare. I was so let down by this experience, I lost my appetite. OH, I forgot to mention when we sent back our steaks the first time, we gave back our steaks and I kept my plate that had my steak and potato and gave the steak on the side plate. When the cowboy manager came by and gave us our "revised" steaks, I'm not sure if he saw my sweet potato soaking in the BLOOD and JUICES from my old steak but he didn't even offer me a new one or asked if I wanted a new one. I had to ask our waiter if we could get my meal comped. And it was. The waiter (Xavier) he was able to get it comped and said that a new manager would come over. Maybe, this new manager will come one day. We didn't meet. Not saying it was Xavier's fault, but I don't think it was. I also showed Xavier my sweet potato and was able to bring one home minus the blood and juices. I am a DIE HARD pretty much a DIE HARD TX Roadhouse fan. And I can say this truly ruined the experience for me. I don't think I'll be visiting this location again. UPDATE: My husband went and did a curbside pickup… The picture is what he got for a medium steak. We tried to give them another chance. Didn’t happen. Also they gave us rolls and no butter.
