The atmosphere is noted as quieter compared to other steakhouses, catering to a different, more relaxed clientele. Many diners appreciate the professionalism of the staff, with some servers being particularly memorable. This was my first time visiting this Saltgrass Steak House. They always have the best grilled chicken, green beans and bread. We stopped into Saltgrass on our way out of town for a quick lunch. The food was great as always and I’ll definitely be back at this Saltgrass again soon.

I would like to first start by saying I am a very meticulous person. My family and I went to Saltgrass in McKinney, Texas, on September 14th, 2024, for dinner. It was the most amazing experience that we have had in a very long time. The manager, Mary, was very responsive and accommodating. Our server, Gabriel, was very professional and attentive. Brandon, who wasn't our server, was very funny and very personable. I would recommend this restaurant and experience to everyone. Although it's on the pricey side, it's well worth it, and the Waygu steak, it was better than any steak I've ever had. I also got a frozen Crown and Coke, and it was good. My husband had the peacan bread pudding with ice cream, and he thoroughly enjoyed it.. I apologize for the pictures, but we started eating before I thought to do this review. But all in all, our entire family was extremely satisfied ( which is very rare). This place is a must try, and I highly recommend it.

Great steaks. Fried onion appetizer is tricky to eat ( skinny shoestrings ) but over all. Great. The fried pickles & peppers are amazing. As well as the sweet potato fries.

After going to Texas Roadhouse many times, I wanted to try out Saltgrass to see how they compare. My immediate impression was that Saltgrass was a much more quiet place that caters to a different crowd, in contrast, Texas Roadhouse was much more noisy. Furthermore, Saltgrass seems to employ young student looking type of wait staff, and service was great. For a summary of the foods, I would just say that the rib eye steak at Saltgrass was a little more expensive, but slightly better than Texas Roadhouse, but for everything else, like the sides and bread and drinks, Texas Roadhouse wins. If you prefer a quiet place for a steak, then Saltgrass is the place for you. Personally, I would probably go to Texas Roadhouse the next time.

Birthday Celebration for wife. Service was exactly what we have become accustomed to from Saltgrass. Redfish, steak, shrimp, salad, and hamburger was good. A little on the high side when comparing portions to price. Thankfully had a $20 reward available. Got there a little over an hour before closing. Did not feel rushed to order and eat. Shout out to our server for turning the channel to the Dallas Stars hockey game.

On our business trip, my wife and I had the privilege to be served by Geneva during two of our dinner nights there. She was attentive, remembered what we liked from the previous visit, and super awesome. Look forward to coming back here on our next return to Texas.

We ate at The Saltgrass Steakhouse last night. 3 of us had steak, my wife had the Salmon. I had the Brussels sprouts with my Ribeye and they were very flavorful. It was all delicious. Their special bread was a big hit, and the fried mushrooms appetizer were good too. Oh I had the Blue Cheese butter on my steak, added good flavor. It’s not a cheap night out for 4 people, but the food quality is a good value. It was my son’s birthday dinner, so had to splurge a little.

Celebrated my spouse's birthday. We had a delicious steak, crab cake, fried chicken with gravy and kids BBQ ribs. Perfect, balanced flavor and definitely have to try tortilla soup.
