Great Food, So-So Service Located on the Kemah, TX Boardwalk, this steakhouse offered great food and a lively atmosphere, but the service left room for improvement. The meal started with a fresh house salad topped with ranch dressing. The vegetables were crisp, and the ranch was creamy and flavorful—exactly what you’d expect. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic. The main course featured a medium-rare steak cooked to order, tender and juicy with a nice sear. The grilled shrimp added a nice touch, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was festive with holiday decorations and waterfront views, making it a fun spot for our Christmas party of 20. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or the setting. Orders were mixed up multiple times, and it took too long for the server to take orders or bring drinks. While handling a large group can be challenging, it felt like the staff just wasn’t prepared or focused. Overall, I’d rate the food and atmosphere 5 stars, but the service gets 4 stars due to the repeated mistakes and delays. I’d go back for the food and location but would hope for a better service experience next time.

When our kids unexpectedly joined us, he quickly adjusted and made the whole experience seamless. The orders were taken swiftly, and the food and service flowed together perfectly. And let's talk about the food - it was outstanding! This restaurant has an incredible variety to please even the most demanding taste buds. I absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back very soon!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It was our first time and this location did not disappoint. Our server Blake is very kind and has provided us with such great service. The bread is so good as well as the butter. All the food that we’ve ordered were amazing. Even the view is great! I highly recommend them. ✨ I am enjoyed our late lunch very much.

I had an amazing experience at Saltgrass! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our server Olivia, was absolutely fantastic! She was so sweet, friendly, and went out of her way to help us pick the perfect dishes. The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious.

We stopped by for early dinner during 4th of July. Surprisingly, there was not a wait. We were seated immediately and we got a table with a great view of the water. All the food was great, however, several of the plates felt very minimalist. I don't know if I'm recalling a different restaurant but I remember that even for ribs, chicken fried chicken or the shrimp, there were veggies that came with the plate. In the pictures you can see that the plate looks very sad. I think they should downsize the plates if they're shifting what they choose to provide in serving size. The service was okay, the young lady was kind, however, she didn't check on us if we needed more drinks or if we wanted to order anything else. We had to waive her over for drink refills. The restaurant was not busy when we were there so it was a bit surprising to receive that level of service. The atmosphere was great because it was our family time and we made the most of it regardless. This place could use some improvement.

Delicious food and drinks all around! Very great customer service and great atmosphere. We were attended right away and had our drinks out shortly. Our food was also out pretty quickly after we ordered. Everything was delicious. We had a table of 7, but we’re treated with absolute respect. All of us left full and happy.

Ordered online as I was on duty working. I arrived to get my order and the host was polite and told me where to go. I asked the bartender for my order and she seemed very inconvenienced. I had to ask for my drink and the cup of soup that went with my order as it was not given to me initially. Server returns with my drink and a bag I thought was my soup but instead was a piece of bread. Never got my soup. My steak was undercooked but the shrimp and vegetables that came with it were great. Really disappointed as I typically have great service and great food when I dine or order from here.
