Customer Review Summary

Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse offers outstanding food and service, earning high praise from multiple reviewers. The decor is elegant, and the atmosphere is clean and comfortable, suitable for various party sizes. Although some menu items may run out, like brisket, the pork ribs and chicken options are highly recommended for their tenderness and flavor. Appetizers, such as shrimp and sausage, are well-liked, and desserts like the bourbon pecan cobbler and Mississippi Mudslide cake received positive remarks for their generous portions and taste. The sides, while solid, do not stand out as unique, but are still enjoyable. Servers are described as attentive and polite, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. Despite being on the pricier side, many diners feel the quality justifies the cost. Overall, it's considered a must-visit spot for anyone looking for quality barbecue in Texas.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Talk about outstanding food, and service! Our waiter this evening was attentive and well informed! Best food and BBQ I think I have had in Texas in 20 plus years!! Manager was nice. Took my son here for his Birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

The decor is elegant for a bbq place. I was hoping to eat beef ribs but they only pork. So I chose the brisket which was tender, juicy and flavorful, good portion sizes. Clean restrooms. They have booths and tables for any party size. The booths are roomy and the seating is comfortable. Food came out in decent time. Price was good to feed a family of 3.

Delta Blues is always a great place to try some great food. The portions are large, the food is tasty, and there are plenty of great options. When we arrived, they told us there would be a 25-30 minute wait, but in actuality it only took about 10 minutes for us to be seated. Unusually, they were out of brisket and pork belly, and they didn’t have Dr. Pepper, so I had to get Coke. However, the pork ribs that I ended up ordering tasted superb. They each contained a sizable amount of meat, and there were six of them. It is unlikely for me to not finish all of my food, but I was only able to eat four of the six pork ribs. My meal came with two sides, and I chose the macaroni and cheese and the potato salad; a roll was also included. My mother ordered some very tasty turkey, and my dad got a large, sumptuous burger. I would also recommend the chicken fried steak, which has always been wonderful. Our server was helpful, and though the restaurant did not have certain menu items, we had a great experience and everything turned out just fine. I have had multiple great experiences here at Delta Blues, and you should definitely come here if you’re in the mood for some good barbecue.

It was quite busy on a Friday night, but we were able to find a seat at the bar and have drinks while we waited for our table. The wait was less than what they estimated. We started off with the shrimp and sausage appetizer, which was layered with a jalapeño slice and covered with barbecue sauce, it was really delicious and I highly recommend. I ordered the smoked chicken breast and was astounded by how large this breast was. The smokiness was just right, and the breast was cooked perfectly and was still nice and moist. The macaroni and cheese was good and my side salad was fresh and tasted delicious with some of their barbecue sauce on it. My boyfriend ordered the brisket combo, which was a bit on the dry side but did have good bark. It was a combination plate so he also received the beef sausage and ordered an additional rib with his meal. The dessert was really really good, we ordered the bourbon pecan cobbler. There was a layer of warm chocolate and pecans at the bottom of the jar then topped with vanilla ice cream and more pecans. It was absolutely huge. Definitely stop here. Give it a try. It was worth a visit.

This was my 3rd visit. There’s no wait sitting lunchtime. The atmosphere and service are superior. Clean and comfy (not too hot nor too cold). The food is beautifully plated, and it tastes great too. Well-seasoned. (Green beans were a little salty on 2 of my 3 visits…I’ll ask for light salt next time) 😉 I HIGHLY recommend the Mississippi Blacked Catfish…and the baked beans (there aren’t no ordinary baked beans). Go! You wont be disappointed. Please give a 👍 if you find this review to be helpful &/or accurate. Thanks.

Have gone here twice. Great experience overall! For about $35.00, I got a brisket/ribs plate and the Mississippi Mudslide cake. All the meats are moist, tender, and smoky. They are very delicious and filling. You can taste a hint of the spice Crust on the brisket. The ribs have a slight sweetness to it that compliments the flavor nicely. The sides are solid. They don't set themselves to far apart from other bbq places, but they are still good, with the potato salad being my favorite. The Mississippi Mudslide was a great dessert! The chocolate is sweet and the cake is soft and moist. The marshmallow is warm and gooey. Would recommend. The free bread, pickles, onions, and BBQ sauce compliment the meal well. The bread is freshly baked and fluffy. The vegetables are all fresh. The BBQ sauce has 3 different options, all which elevate the flavors of the meat. Additionally, the servers are all polite and attentive, and the ambience is very a nice combination of classy + outdoorsy. Although on the pricier side, this place is great and well worth the visit!

I know there are so many options for BBQ in Texas, but this is one of those places you have to check out. The thick grilled pork chops was probably the best pork chops I ever ate. The mashed potato sides were absolutely phenomenal and the bbq pork and beans were out of this world. If you’re just driving through or need some good pork chops, you definitely have to come here.

Main entree proteins are not overly seasoned. It's juicy and tender. Selected drinks and appetizers were half off from 3-6 pm. The wings and nacho were on the saltier side. Service was good with a smile. Recommended this place if you're shopping nearby.
