Landry’s Seafood House – Kemah: Classic Gulf Coast Flavors with a View Landry’s in Kemah delivers a solid seafood experience, combining classic Gulf Coast flavors with a scenic waterfront atmosphere. It’s a reliable spot for fresh seafood, well-executed Southern dishes, and a laid-back yet refined dining setting. --- What We Ordered Seafood Gumbo The gumbo had a deep, rich roux, giving it a bold, slightly smoky flavor. The consistency leaned toward the thicker side, with plenty of shredded crab and seafood throughout. Served with a well-formed mound of white rice and garnished with chives, it had all the elements of a comforting, classic gumbo. Charbroiled Oysters The oysters were served sizzling in a metal dish, topped with a buttery garlic-Parmesan crust. The cheese and breadcrumbs added a nice texture, while the fresh grilled bread was perfect for soaking up the extra buttery sauce. A solid execution of a Louisiana favorite, these oysters had a good balance of brininess and richness. --- Atmosphere & Experience Landry’s in Kemah offers a great location with a waterfront view, making it a strong choice for a relaxed meal with a coastal feel. The service was attentive, and the dishes came out well-paced. It’s a great spot for both casual lunches and special occasions. --- Final Thoughts Landry’s remains a staple for Gulf Coast seafood, delivering well-prepared, flavorful dishes in a comfortable setting. If you’re looking for a reliable seafood experience with good execution, this is a solid choice. Best Dishes: Charbroiled Oysters, Seafood Gumbo. Would I go back? Yes, especially for the oysters and the view.

Fire grilled oysters and mixed seafood platter. All was delicious. Thank you Bryan for the great service. Thank you Chef Frank for making the bananas foster creme brulee dessert. It was greatly appreciated and just what the wife wanted.

Noe is amazing, his customer service is exquisite. The environment is what it is thanks to people like him. He was so polite, his personality lit up the entire restaurant. I asked questions and for recommendations and he gave me such wonderful suggestions and had a smile on his face the whole time. If you are looking for a place to enjoy great food and a wonderful evening Landrys is where to go. Thank you Noe, for all you did without even making an effort. When I come across people like Noe it’s obvious that he enjoys his job and is happy to help in any way possible.

On New years Eve, we couldn't get the full dine-in experience, but we did manage to self-order from the bar and seat ourselves. Despite being understaffed for a NYE event, they held it together and maintained a warm-spirited and positive environment. I really enjoyed the food, but it did turn cold quickly due to the patio location. I can't knock them for that, especially since everything except for the potatoes tasted pretty good cold. What I'm saying is that we would visit again, and I wouldn't mind having leftovers.

I recently visited Landry’s Seafood to celebrate a birthday, and while the food quality was slightly above average, the overall experience left me disappointed. I made a reservation through OpenTable and noted it was a special occasion. I also mentioned the birthday when I checked in 15 minutes early, yet it was completely overlooked, which spoiled the mood. Adding to the frustration, I was told to wait for my table, but after 35 minutes with no updates, I realized I had been forgotten. I had to return to the host stand to be seated. While the hostess and manager apologized, it didn’t make up for the disorganization. Once at the table, service was extremely slow. Dirty dishes and even my three empty drink glasses sat on the table until the end of the meal. Although the red snapper I ordered was fresh and delicious, the inattentive service and lack of acknowledgment for the birthday overshadowed everything else. The restaurant had a moderate, respectful crowd, so it wasn’t overly busy, making the service issues even harder to overlook. Unfortunately, this disappointing experience warrants only 2 stars.

Service and atmosphere were nice, Mr. Gary took care of us! No loud music and very nice view at the bay! The almond Mahi Mahi is beautiful in presentation but quite simple on the combination of flavors. The glazed salmon 3 out of 5! Not bad, but nothing great! I will give it another chance later on time because there were other dishes which caught my attention.

Great place to dress up and enjoy a beautiful sunset on the water. The food is top notch and the staff is friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. The steak dinner is a favorite of mine and always cooked to perfection. The drinks are delicious and made expertly by a very friendly bar staff.
