This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in ages. We made a reservation, but no-one greeted us. We walked upstairs, back downstairs, back upstairs and just sat at a table. The server eventually got to us with waters and menus, but no wine list. She is in the wrong job: no hospitality, no knowledge, no friendliness. She eventually got back to take our order - she’d be fine in a diner. She slipped a glass of white wine down for me when I’d asked for a cab sauv. She then gave me the glass in her other hand which may or may not have been what I ordered. The food came 35 minutes after we ordered - there were four other active tables in the restaurant. My medium-rare had no red, no taste, and was lukewarm. The vegetables were overcooked and cool. The baked potato was chunky and cool - the butter never even melted. The server didn’t care when I pointed this out and despite managerial- looking people around, no-one said anything. I get better service, better flavour, and hotter food at Whataburger.

Extremely disappointed with our dining experience. It's not my first time dining at the Tack Room, but I have never been disappointed with this restaurant before. It takes a lot for me to be disappointed with food, but this was really bad. My wife's shrimp was rubbery and had no flavor. Both my steak and my son's steak were overcooked, dry and lacked flavor. Our baked potatoes were served at room temperature and they forgot one of my son's potatoes all together. I had about three bites of my steak and was done eating. The service was okay and the atmosphere was good which is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars.

Saturday 12.17.22 out waitress was Nicole and she was the only one running the bar n as our server. She was really nice and made good drinks. To make this clear, the food was at room temperature for the time it took to bring it out. The mushrooms appetizers were almost cold, then the food was very very room temperature. I wanted to return all the platter’s we got served but my friends said no. Cuz it took tooo long to get our food. Again, this has nothing to do with our waitress. I lived n Dallas for almost 40 yrs and was looking for somewhere fancy to eat but Unfortunately it’s Not The Tack Room. Never again….thanks Nicole for making our visit nice. But the Food Got B A lot More Warmer when Served n Some Taste Too…

I am from Oregon. This experience in Laredo Texas was so amazing and memorable! The Tack Room is a hidden gem among restaurants. The atmosphere is so amazing. I spent time here dining and drinking each of my 3 days. The manager Adriana is cordial, professional and with amazing energy and leadership. Adrianna, like all bartenders and staff are bilingual. The chef has to be top tier as the food presentation, taste and quality is top in the industry. Bartender Esteban is a veteran...45 years tending bar. While he is quiet and methodical in making cocktails, once you talk to him he is a wealth of culture and history. Raull was my server twice. He is absolutely cordial, upbeat and professional. No food suggestion he made disappointed me. Last, this is a border town. Right outside the door there is a plethora of activity. Inside it is a true mixture of cultures. I'm the beard guy that spent amazing time enjoying your cuisine, drinks and service. Thank you❤️

Extremely disappointed of every aspect of this dinner. Went for our 5 year anniversary expecting great service and food. Waited 30 minutes to have our drink order taken, had to ask for a waiter. That should’ve been our first red flag. Ordered and waited 1 hour and a half for the food to arrive. Trying to enjoy our anniversary, we kept trying to let things slide. Right as we were going to leave the food arrived. The $50 steak was cold, hard, dry, and overcooked. That’s when we decided to leave. Super sad our anniversary dinner went so poorly. The waiter never even walked by our table unless we asked for him when we would see another employee. Had to ask them to modify the A/C, it felt like the room was 60°F we were shivering and couldn’t even sit comfortably. Ended up picking up food elsewhere and going home. It takes a lot for us to be this harsh. Sadly, will not be returning.

Poor service, and lack of respect to our party. Was misinformed about certain food items, several party members ordered the prime rib Thursday special. Almost an hour later, we were told we had to change items. After another 30 minutes of waiting, we finally received our food.I had the Kentucky derby, asked for a medium rare, but received an almost well done steak. Then as we asked for a check, I was told there was a military discount, but was later told then didn’t have any type of discount. Waiter was extremely unprepared to handle service, I did not receive my check, and they ran my card without allowing me to look over the receipt. I was charged an additional 8 dollars for a chocolate cake, but never received the item and was not told there was a 24% auto gratuity. While I understand that it was gratuity statement was on the menu, we could’ve been informed of the obscure amount. Absolutely terrible, will never recommend anyone to this restaurant

Could not have been more disappointed. Went with my son, we were on vaca and staying next door and was excited about the Thursday Prime Rib. Ordered our drinks, which were very good, onion rings for app and prime rib, medium rare. We never got the rings, got the prime rib, which was way over cooked and tasted “old” potato was decent but also tasted old. The veggies were good. We walked away super disappointed and would never go back. Cute place but not worth the price for the food we got

Wow! A complete waste of our dining experience. With all due respect, this place needs a total revamp on how to operate. Good luck!
