The Republic Steakhouse is highly praised for its outstanding service and food quality. Waitstaff, particularly Dawson and Logan, receive accolades for their knowledge and attentiveness. Recommended dishes include Gulf Shrimp Beurre Monte, Prime New York Strip, and the grilled apple French toast for dessert. While some appetizers were exceptional, others like the Bacon Maple Pecan Brussels Sprouts fell flat. The dining experience is elegant with a well-curated wine list, although it is on the expensive side. Several reviewers noted the cozy, upscale ambiance but expressed mixed feelings about the crowd's behavior. Despite minor criticisms, many affirmed their desire to return for future visits and special occasions.

Had a date night at the republic tonight and as usual it did not disappoint. Let’s start with our waiter, Dawson. Dawson was amazing. He is very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, the wine list and the cocktail list. He has a great personality that meshes well in a steak house environment. He made excellent recommendations on both drinks and food. We started with the Gulf Shrimp Beurre Monte, Holy Cow!!!! This is an amazing appetizer and I highly recommend it. I had the Prime New York Strip and my wife had the Petite Filet Mignon with the twice baked potatoes. Both were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. We love The Republic and will return for sure

Expensive but well worth it! My son said it was the best Caesar salad ever and the steak was outstanding. My pork tenderloin was also delicious and well prepared. The sides we ordered, the mashed potatoes and prusciutto green beans, were also fantastic. Even the bread and butter was delectable and perfect. I had their house old fashioned and it was good but I had a second made without the rye and I liked it far better. They give you four sauces at the table and come and explain them all at the table before your meat entrees arrive. Our server was super attentive and explained everything well at our table.

Logan was our waiter and he was exceptional in knowledge, kindness, and overall support of an amazing experience. This is a fine dining experience worth the price of a visit. Bourbon Cherry Bacon - Smoked Pork Belly - Cherry Bourbon Sauce - Candied Pecans These were not on the menu, but we were allowed to order secret items. I would order this again. If you like smoked pork belly, this is a winner! Chicken Fries Oysters - Pan Fried Oysters - Fuji Apple Kimchee - Fresh Cilantro These were among the best oysters I have had and better than Rockefeller style. They are cooked, so do not expect a raw experience. Bacon Maple Pecan Brussels Sprouts - Bacon - Maple Syrup - Pecan Nothing special and will not order again. Maybe an idea for home, but not worth getting while dining out. Highly recommend the Prime Bone Off Ribeye. It was far better than the Wagyu my friend ordered. We shared and both agreed the Ribeye was the best choice. Grilled apple french toast was absolute winner for dessert. If you want dessert, get this! - Bourbon Anglaise - Candied Pecans - Brioche French Toast - Vanilla Ice Cream

If you’re all about premium cuts, The Republic is where you need to be. They have an incredible selection, from the classics to some amazing Wagyu – hands down one of the best I’ve tried in the country! The quality is top-notch, and you can tell they put serious love into every dish. Their wine list is insane, with perfect pairings for whatever cut you’re craving. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but honestly, it’s worth it for a special night out. The salads are fresh, the vibe is elegant and classy, and it’s just the perfect spot to treat yourself. If you’re looking for a true steak experience, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! Reserved a table to celebrate our anniversary, and the entire experience has us looking forward to planning another dinner date. Everyone wished us a happy anniversary throughout, our waiter, David, provided such great service, gave great recommendations, and was so kind, and other waiters that delivered food to our table were all so kind as well. The service here is truly top notch. The wait between refills and each course is honestly perfectly timed The food is so delicious! We enjoyed the Texas Fried Shrimp, New Zealand Lamb Rack, Grilled Texas Redfish, sides of Smoked Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese, the Key Lime Pie, and Cheesecake. We certainly see a list of other menu items we look forward to trying next! The space is so beautifully designed, great atmosphere, and a good playlist!

The food was outstanding, but I honestly can’t say enough about the impeccable service from Tyrone! I go out to eat very often, but the service actually was over and beyond and I don’t say that lightly! We had the filet on special that was smoked, ribeye, chargrilled oysters, wedge salad, and lobster bisque! All dishes were amazing. The wedge was served over romaine rather than iceberg, so it could take you for surprise. But it was still delicious. We will be back! I have eaten at most steakhouses in cstat, but this one takes the cake!

We tried out The Republic while in town for a date night and had a good time. The decorations and atmosphere was great, very cozy and upscale, especially for the area. The service was also exceptional - fast, conversational, helpful, and kind. The options on the menu covered the expected steakhouse fare and I appreciated the large whiskey selection. Overall, I found the food we tried to be good, but not amazing. Particularly my chicken fried filet mignon was soggy and closer to a roast beef texture than cuts of filet mignon. I'd come back for sure for the experience, but likely get a dedicated steak entree next time instead of a fried item.

This place is very beautiful and the way everything was presented was gorgeous. The staff was outstanding. Food was delicious. I am giving 4 stars just because I feel for $300 between 2 people, it wasn't worth it. For starters, there is not a dress code, so if you dress up formally, you will feel out of place. Also the other patrons we were around where very drunk and made negative comments towards us and my dessert. This place is phenomenal, unfortunately it's always the customers that ruin a great place.
