I appreciate that even during peak hours, the food is ready promptly. However, I do wish they would fix the self-serve kiosks. Overall, this is a great place to visit for lunch or any other time!

Loved it. Girlfriend and I were in Chattanooga checking out the tourist attractions. Got the munchies and stopped into Steak 'n Shake. Great atmosphere and fast service. Food very good. Then back on the road. Plenty of free parking all around and close to front entrance.

I was really surprised by how good this Steak ‘n Shake was. Time and time again I’d been told this wasn’t worth trying and that it had gone downhill, and granted I kind of judged it by the look of the outside and believed that it just wasn’t worth trying. Today I gave the place a chance, and I had one of the best steakburger-style burgers I’ve had in a long time! The beef was super juicy, the lettuce and tomatoes looked like they were out of a magazine, and the fries were hot and crispy. I know this a long review but it’s just none of the other ones on here seem to do them justice. They’re definitely not the fastest fast food out there but I definitely think it’s worth a try.

Friendly service and great burgers, fries and shakes. By the way, the new beef tallow oil is wonderful. Great experience.

The new oil that they cooked the fries in is so good. You can taste the difference. Much healthier. Love my visit today. Magie was very professional and the counter and she made our day. Looking forward to my next visit. Ms. Ruth

I pulled up to the drive thru at 10:55 am. Employees were sitting out back, smoking. Not a problem with that. One of the employees should over that they don't open til 11, to which I replied, "No problem. That's only 5 min." That employee seemed put out that I was willing to sit at the drive thru and wait. Seriously, If I cannot wait 5 min, I need to pack my own lunch.

The burgers were decent, and the kids’ meals were well-priced for what you get. However, the experience was dampened by one employee shouting at customers when their orders were ready—startling people in the process. I’m not sure if he was trying to be funny or if he thought it was entertaining, but yelling at the top of his lungs in a thunderous voice didn’t come across as comedic. It made for an uncomfortable dining experience and wasn’t the best display of customer service.

Wow, I cannot stress enough how much I do NOT recommend this place. Do NOT go here! There's a Sonic 5 minutes down the road. I recently had an appalling experience trying out this Steak 'n Shake. At 10pm in the evening, I placed an order at the drive-thru, which included 2 entrees, 2 shakes, and a side, totaling about $40. Despite being the only customer in line at the time, the employee at the speaker seemed very unhappy to take my order, which was not a good start. After waiting for our food, we were hastily handed several closed bags and two drinks before being rushed out of the line with a curt "good night". Upon pulling forward, we discovered that our shakes were missing from the order. We had to go through the drive-thru line again, which had now accumulated several cars, and wait an additional 15 minutes just to reach the window. To make matters worse, when we finally received our shakes, they were the wrong ones. I politely pointed out the mistake, only to be met with a death stare from the employee at the window. She grudgingly took back one of the incorrect shakes and promised to remake the right one. In total, we wasted 30 minutes of our evening for $40 worth of "fast" food. To top it off, the burgers were dry and flavorless, and the fries arrived stale, cold, and unsalted. Based on this experience, I can confidently say that this Steak 'n Shake location is the least recommended restaurant in Chattanooga. The service was apathetic at best and rude at worst, and the food quality was extremely poor. PLEASE Save your time and money by going elsewhere for a better experience. 👎👎👎👎👎
