Use call ahead seating because the wait is long, but definitely worth it if you’re not in a rush. Modern take on better quality bar/small local restaurant food. Very popular place and with good reasons. My wife and I spent about $65 for 3 dishes and an appetizer. Service was excellent and we are looking forward to a return visit.

Absolutely 5 stars! Our experience at 1885 Grill Chattanooga was fantastic. Michael, our waiter, was attentive, friendly, and truly made our afternoon special. The award-winning wings were incredible—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The étouffée was rich and satisfying, bursting with taste, while the steak fries practically melted in our mouths. The fried green tomatoes were crispy and absolutely delicious. The drinks were refreshing and balanced, just what we needed. And don’t leave without trying the pecan bread pudding; it's the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Highly recommend!

We had a nice casual dinner here recently during Ironman weekend. I would describe as upscale pub type food. The filet was properly prepared, and the airline chicken was overall good although a touch dry around the edges. Wings were good, the kale salad was okay but was a bit basic and disappointing. Nothing blew us away, but everything was solid enough. Servers were nice, although service overall was a bit scattered.

Great restaurant with friendly staff. They have a nice waiting lounge in back of restaurant while waiting for a seat. The food was some of the best we have ever had. Must try their wings, the trophies inside don't lie, they were amazing. Ribeye steak was amazing. Will definitely make a trip to go back.

Great restaurant with very friendly staff. We stoped by Look out mountains in Chattanooga and found this place. We had 1885 Burger, Salmon and BBQ chicken along with Crab bisque which all were delicious!

We went on a Saturday afternoon while visiting the area. There was a bit of a wait to get seated, but from there the service was great. I ordered the Country Cuban sandwich with hushpuppies. It was absolutely delicious with tons of flavor. Would definitely come back and order again. Overall, a cozy little restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, but can definitely get busy on the weekends during tourist season. Well worth the wait though.

We love 1885!! St Elmo locals and it’s such a great place to walk to. Food and service are always amazing. Didn’t love the sangria flight, it was pretty much juice but it was refreshing lol

This was the best meal, that I have not prepared in a LONG TIME. It was was the first opportunity my husband and I had to have a date in a long while and as a chef I'm hard to impress. Mackenzie our server was amazing, she went above and beyond for us and with a great attitude We definitely visit again on our next trip to Chattanooga. Way to go chefs and staff! Top notch! I have wanted to like chow chow for years and they finally made it happen, the fried green tomatoes with chow chow were 1st class tasty!
