Our Entrée came with side salad and bread for the table, I would suggest for the butter to be softer to spread easier. The best dish of the night was the lobster tail with crab, really delicious. Desert: The lave cake was okay, nothing fancy just a simple lava cake with ice cream.

We were driving down from NY on a Sunday evening and craving a steak, so we decided to stop here. The atmosphere was calm, with several people celebrating birthdays. The food was good—on par with other steakhouses—but what truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. Our waiter, Jose, was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive, making our experience even better. The oysters were incredibly fresh and, in our opinion, the highlight of the meal. The ribeye was decent, though we prefer it with a touch more sea salt for added flavor. My surf and turf dish was fine, though the South African lobster tail was a bit sweeter than I typically enjoy. While the prices were on the higher side, we knew what to expect going in. Overall, I’d definitely prefer this location over the one in Mahwah!

Nice local steakhouse, great service, the meal wasn't rushed, and they let you take your time for every course. Ribeye was good and tasty, but bacon app was a bit tough and could've been more rendered. The room lighting needs to be a bit brighter too since we could barely see what we're eating.

I went to the restaurant with my wife and daughter on Dec. 18, 2024. We went to celebrate my retirement which occurred the day earlier. I had read the reviews about the noise levels and there was one or two reviews that suggested getting a more quiet table. So when I made the reservation, I mentioned that I had read the reviews and asked in advance for a quiet table. I explained that it was to celebrate my retirement. On the night we arrived there was a table by a wall and other tables more in the middle of the room. They took us to a table more toward the middle of the room. As they did so I pointed out that there was a table by a wall, which would have been much more quiet. I told them that when I booked a table I had asked for a more quiet table. They then said that this other party was going to take the table after they were being escorted from the bar to that table. Rather than honoring the request I had made, they decided to give the table to others who had spent money at the bar. The restaurant was very loud that evening. I understand that because of the holiday season I would expect a lot more noise than usual. But if they had been honest with me when I booked the table, they could have said that it is not possible to book a more quiet table. In which case I would have taken my family to another restaurant to celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime event. The food was very good. But I do not like how I was treated and so will be unlikely to ever go back.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at RP Prime Steakhouse Fair Lawn! This restaurant deserves a solid 5 stars. The food was not only delicious but exceeded all my expectations. The beef carpaccio was out of this world; I've never had anything quite like it. The tuna tartar and lobster were incredibly fresh, and the steak was top-notch. The service was impeccable, and the staff was exceptionally knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. RP Prime Steakhouse is definitely the best spot for a memorable meal.

The manager and his team have made sure to deliver an astounding eating experience that has made my business trip here to NJ/NY that much more enjoyable. This is my second time going this week, and tonight I had the Lobster Night special: To start, a healthy serving of Lobster Bisque (honestly the best I've ever had... brought a smile to my face with every spoonful), followed by a Lobster Ravioli which complemented the lingering taste of the bisque. The main course was a 1.5lb Lobster served with a side of sautéed Broccoli... YUM. Finally I had the homemade blueberry pie with a serving of vanilla ice cream... the perfect way to end my meal. Once again, I really want to commend the staff who made sure to check in throughout dinner with genuine kindness and attention to detail worthy of praise. The manager came around multiple times to speak with me and I can honestly say he and his staff are putting their heart into this restaurant. I cannot recommend this place more!

We dined at RP in Fair Lawn for the first time on Thanksgiving. Everything was top notch. Food, service, atmosphere. My Mom & brother said it was the best turkey dinner they’ve ever had. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating, even when super busy on a holiday. Will definitely be back again!
