About Estréia - steak house in Lakewood, New Jersey

Minimalist, warm steakhouse featuring upmarket, kosher entrees along with top-shelf wines & spirits.

Customer Review Summary

Overall, Estréia offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. Many reviews praise the food quality, particularly the steaks and generous portions. Service is generally described as good, but some reviewers noted issues with friendliness and slow service. The ambiance is considered nice but could feel too dark for some, with one reviewer comparing it to a funeral reception. Family-friendliness is questioned due to the lack of high chairs and a less inviting environment for younger guests. Though the restaurant has been updated, there are suggestions for further improvements and a more diverse dessert menu. Some diners felt the prices were not justified by the food quality.

Went with family on 3/2. Had rib eye steak, fries and onion rings. Service great. What we had was very good especially the steaks. except for quinona.

Lovely place to eat, patient with my parents and grandma, they offer cocktails also and a nice selection of food. I’ve been to both the restaurant part and the event space and it seems nice. It’s more of cafe type steakhouse vibe as opposed to a real steakhouse.

Food was good but not amazing for the prices they charge. Great small breads with hummus as a courtesy, loved that. Also, not very family friendly, no high chairs in a restaurant in Lakewood? They automatically charge 18% gratuity, which many places in do these days. Waitress could have beeb friendlier

This restaurant was pretty decent, not for a younger crowd at all. It’s very dark inside since they blacked out the windows. The music was the same classical piano songs you’d hear waiting on hold during a call played over and over again. I honestly felt like we were at a funeral reception. We ordered the cowboy steaks which were not seared hard enough to render the fat. The best part about the steaks was that it was really big! Veggies were over cooked/soggy and mashed potatoes were under seasoned. Very expensive place for the quality we got, which is unfortunate.

Very nice sized meals, and great tasting as well :-). Place could use a little updating. And they were short on desert menu items. But overall still a great place

It was a bit hard to find the restaurant (for an out of towner) in the dark, as there is no signage facing the street and the property includes a catering hall. We parked at the wrong side of the facility and went into the catering hall. One of the waiters directed us to the restaurant, whose entrance was on the other side. The ambiance is nice there - dimmed lighting and modern furniture. After we ordered, the service was a bit slow. The portions were generous and tasty. The Chicken Marsela was delicious but overcooked and the edges were chewy. It needed 5 minutes less cook time.
