Customer Review Summary

Overall, Steakhouse 85 Restaurant received positive reviews for its high-quality food and attentive service. Diners enjoyed a variety of dishes, particularly the steaks and pork chop, noting their excellent flavor and generous portions. While some items were praised, a few criticisms were mentioned, such as the bacon appetizer being mostly fat and an underwhelming lobster mac and cheese. The food was very good. I had the pork chop and I really enjoyed it! My wife had the Delmonico which was also good. I can tell the meat was really good quality. While I’m happy they label items as having gluten free options, I was disappointed to learn when I tried to order the shoestring fries that the chef likes to sprinkle flour on them. The menu should be updated to reflect that.

Excellent foods. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Tomahawk steak with blue cheese on top was fabulous...fall off bone lamb was yummy. Expensive, but worth visiting. Service was bit slow for my taste, but that could have been because it was Saturday dinner time.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a few years and it did not disappoint. Steaks (ribeye & strips) were excellent and one of our group had the pork chop which they raved about. The pork chop was a very generous cut. Steaks were perfectly prepared and very nice cuts. The sides were very good as well; creamed spinach, mushrooms, mash potatoes and the lobster Mac and cheese. I'd recommend them all, nice portions as well, probably enough for two people. Service is attentive but not overwhelming. Martinis were perfect. We will definitely go back! Another great meal! Really like the service.

We had a good experience at this restaurant. There is a parking garage across the street from the restaurant. There is also street parking as well as parking at the nearby hotel garage. We went on a Friday, so it was pretty packed and there was live music. I made reservations for two people because it was a Friday and I figured it would be crowded. We arrived shortly before our reservation time, waited a few minutes and were seated at our table. Our server did a great job throughout the night. It really is a team approach by the wait staff from beginning to end. We were immediately given water of our choice. The bread came very shortly thereafter. We ordered our soup and appetizers and then our meal. The soup came right out. I did not time how long it took for the meal to come out, but it wasn’t too long. The food was delicious and prepared well. The portions are large. Sides are large enough that they can be shared among two people. Overall, we had a great experience and we definitely plan to return and dine again. We spent $177 for two, with no drinks, before the tip.

So far I've only been just the one time but the food I had was very good. I would like to go again someday and try other things on the menu. If you plan on coming here, just prepare to spend a pretty penny. It's $$$. You do it for the experience. The waiters and servers were also very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. They kept our waters filled, our table clean, and they package any leftovers for you.

This might be one of the best steakhouses in New Jersey under the radar! The service was terrific the staff was very attentive. The food was delicious. We had Short Rib Dumplings, Fried Calamari, Thick cut bacon, Delmonico steak, Cowboy rib eye, Porterhouse, Loaded tots, Crab fries rice, Broccoli au gratin. I will def be back soon!

Lively steakhouse with warm community vibe. Service from Grace was impeccable. Food was very good except for the bacon appetizer. All fat, no meat, very disappointed. Grabbed a piece on my fork without looking thoroughly and realized while I was chewing, that it was just fat. Totally messed up my stomach for the rest of the night. Surf and Turf was great. Filet cooked to perfection. Lobster mac and cheese was underwhelming and bland. Crab appetizer was plentiful. First time here. Was looking for more of an upscale vibe. This gave neighborhood Cheers meets steakhouse pop up. Atmosphere was loud. Probably won't return as there are far better steakhouses closer to me.

Been here a few times and the food is very good. Last night we stopped in for a nightcap. Our Bartenders were Really great. Kelvis was very professional and skilled. Our Old Fashioned and Espresso martini were both some of the BEST we’ve ever had! Thank You Kelvis. We will be back!
