Jimmy's Charhouse

In 1 word, it was lackluster. I got the 10oz sirloin with a salad and fries. The salad was very basic, it looked like it was out of a bag from the grocery store. The steak was a good size and cooked to my liking but was very bland. I've had better and cheaper from other places. The price is not worth the quality you get. The service was great so they have 1 thing going for them.

Far beyond the ideal dinner! The Atmosphere is out of this world, they are kind, Serve with care, the Quality and Taste of the food is phenomenal! The Chefs are mastermind Professionals at work and I appreciate their time, effort and service! I am beyond satisfied with Jimmy’s!

We had a waitress(Mariana) that acted like we weren’t there, like was avoiding us! She took our drink order and disappeared for 30 minutes! When she finally came back, my husband said teasingly we thought you forgot about us! She actually replied”I had to go the bathroom like most people!!!” What? That’s what you reply with? How unprofessional…. When she took our order, she was stone cold to us. My MIL asked for the 1/2 rack of ribs and she asked if they had baked potatoes yet. The waitress replied “no”. Didn’t offer to tell us what other kind of potato they had, just stood there. My MIL had to ask if they had mashed. The other 3 of us ordered burgers. We waited and waited and waited, no food for another hour. My MIL had coffee and we had water and tea. She never came back and checked in us to see if we wanted any refills even though she refilled the ladies coffee next to us. In the meantime another table of 3 came in and she took their order and disappeared again. We could see our food sitting under the heat lamps but she waited until the party of 3’s meals were ready before she brought ours out at the same time as theirs. It was almost an hour before we got our food. The coffee was cold, the burgers had no seasoning but were cooked fine just not hot from sitting too long (fries weren’t hot either). I asked if my MIL could have some some rib wipes and she replied they should be on there. My MIL told her there are none. Waitress said I’ll get some and when she came back with them put them in the side of the table and half of them fell on the floor. She had no intention of picking them up so I said “I’ll get them” and she just walked off. When we were done eating, once again, she had disappeared so we had to ask the bus boy if he could get is some Togo containers and find our waitress to get the check . He was the best part of the whole place! Very pleasant, kind, helpful and professional! Absolutely THE worst service we’ve ever had, will not be returning. That waitress should not be working there!!!! I would not have given her a penny for a tip, unfortunately my husband was too kind and gave her 10%. He said that was the lowest tip he’s ever given.

Everyone really liked their food. I got a 28oz porterhouse for $47. That's a great price. The cut wasn't the greatest, but you really cannot complain for that steak at that price point. It's been awhile since we've been here. I had to stop in for lunch, warm bread with butter and a cold beer and made the afternoon okay. Service was absolutely delightful in the bar. Very quiet for an afternoon. They have 3pm happy hour specials. Had kind of forgotten about this place, definitely coming back, would be a great date night spot.

We had eaten here years ago but for some reason we had not gone back in years. We finally gave it a try again and we are glad we did. We will definitely be back in near future. All of our food was great and our server was extremely nice. Place was very busy on a Saturday night but they found us a table. Restaurant was very clean and well organized.

If you want like a Texas Roadhouse + Cheesecake Factory vibe , this is the place. I have high expectations for steakhouses and this place disappointed me bad especially for my first nice meal in my first trip to Chicago . wait time was forever. Took an hour to get my appetizers , never received a refill, had to get up to find my waiter after 30 minutes of sitting down. Food was decently good. Lamb 6.5 all in all, not worth it

We both had a Ruben. It was dry and did not have any of the "corned " flavor. There was also not a sauce on the sandwich, and it came with white rye bread, not the usual dark rye a Ruben is made with. I would not order it again. Our server Marina had an upscale uniform on with a colorful tie and was pleasant and helpful.
