Vistro Prime

I recently visited Vistro in Hinsdale, IL, and unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing experience. I ordered the chicken wings, and they were tough, and seemed like they were frozen before being fried. The lobster bisque was also underwhelming, with no lobster in sight, just breadcrumbs and a bland, watery broth. The pizza was plain and forgettable at best. My total bill came to about $120, and for the quality of food, I felt like I was seriously overcharged.

Never had this happen in the 30+ years of our group going out to eat.

Overall, the food was not bad at all. But the sea food tower was very light for the price. Our hostess for the day was quite funny and personable. Not a bad spot.

Fantastic food, amazing service, atmosphere and presentation were great! The seasonal strawberry rhubarb sorbet twisted with vanilla soft serve was out of this world. So accommodating for gluten free too. Definitely will be returning

As always, Chef Paul’s restaurants are right on point. Katherine and I collectively have been to Vistro (Prime) a few times . . . and the food, craft cocktails, and atmosphere make for an excellent social and culinary experience. It was wonderful to see Patrick doing the Mixology while the other restaurant is in process of opening apparently this spring. This time around, Katherine and I stopped by for a craft cocktail, and we ended up enjoying the happy hour oysters that were very good. I have never offered a single suggested critique of Vie or Vistro. The only request I have is for the manager of Vistro Prime is to check the barstools at the bar. My barstool was wobbly, and it likely/ simply needs to be tightened up. I’m a handy person and have constructed and repaired barstools; so possibly, the hardware for some of your barstools needs to be tightened up and or repaired. They are beautiful barstools! Other than that, I completely recommend Vistro Prime to every and anyone that receives this review and all my friends and family as always!

Was looking for steakhouses on Google and came across Vistro Prime. Menu looked good, so decided to try it for my girlfriend's birthday. The food was PHENOMENAL. I had the bone in NY Strip Steak and she tried the Ribeye. They were both perfection. Also highly recommend the Hummingbird cake. Our waitress, Mandy was excellent. Very attentive and great attitude. Had a wonderful experience, and can't wait to come back.
