Steak 'n Shake

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, it’s classic American fast food at its finest just wish they were still open late so I could come more. Just came today 02/03/25 and the drive through operator was quick, kind, and professional despite how busy she was :) give that lady a raise!

I try to only review places that I enjoyed, and this was a wonderful surprise in Batavia. Clean, cool and the music was perfect. While the kiosk ordering system is easy to use, I was still offered assistance in its use by the man behind the counter. The tables and booths and entire atmosphere are sleek yet retro. The burger and fries were delicious and the chocolate shake...WOW. There is nothing quite like a perfectly made shake in a tall chilled glass with real whipped cream and a cherry on top. I had chocolate this time, but strawberry must be the choice next time. This is a great place to dine-in and kids will love it as well. There is even a "claw" machine filled with toys for them to retrieve. This visit really made my day better. The staff was friendly and I left in a wonderful mood.

Just went through the drive-through because the sit-down inside is sad and empty. But the food we got was minus ketchup, pickles, and onions that were on the second burger. The fries were cold, and one order the fries were greasy and the container full of cooking oil dripping out of the container. I have always loved this place even after they changed the dining room. But after this I'm not coming back.

Service, food and prices were great tonight. Great spot for our family to have a fun dinner together. I like how Steak and Shake uses a kiosk now to take orders, the food arrived fast and hot.

This is a self-order from a kisok inside. The drive thru is available as well. The food was as expected for this lovely chain - You can't go wrong with a Frisco melt and classic fries. 👌 For random fun there is a claw machine.

Ordered a milkshake and it tasted like burnt chemicals. Whether it was a faulty machine, or improper cleaning, the shake should not have been served to a customer. Be cautious, because you may end up sick from eating here.

Warning: my Shake tasted like car exhaust I’m sick to my stomach and their response was “Ty for letting us know” seems like a serious health code violation of some kind. How is it that multiple shakes tastes like car exhaust and chemicals.

I been an Steak & Shake customer for many years, but lately Im very dissapointed with my shakes, I remember the whip cream all the way up, because the whole cup was filled with shake, Not anymore 😡😡😡.
